Indian Summer Sunset As you sit under an old oak tree over looking a great lake you are watching the sunset as you play your American Indian wooden flute to the repetitive sounds of native drums that you hear in your head. I recently purchased an inexpensive wooden flute VSTi called Apache. I recorded the track using my wind controller only to find out it did not follow the CC2 volume data. Thus after converting the MIDI to a wav I had to manually input the volume automation, a real pain. BiaB Style - Oort Spacey Ambient Synth. Tempo - 65 BPM I deleted the bass and string tracks Piano - Zak - preset - Tiny Notes Utility Chord Track - Serenity - preset - Aeolus RT 3621 - Guitar Electric Rhythm RD - World Peckketa Slow 16th I am playing my Squire P-Bass guitar and via my wind controller the wooden flute. As always all comments welcomed.

Mario,
This is an excellent piece of music. One of my new favorites from you.
The production is superb - so polished and mixed to perfection.
Loved it!

A relaxing piece of music, if a bit long. I'd like to hear your bass more, and perhaps some changes on drumming here and there. To my ears it really needs more bottom end (I'm listening on decent headphones). After a while the hand drum just gets too repetitive for me.
Minor criticisms. Keep or sweep...

Nice one Mario - as a bassist I echo Redeye's request for more bottom end.

Very atmospherically pleasing. I’m listening on an iPad so can’t comment on the bottom end.

Well done ... most contemplative.
Your performances and the mix sound great on our monitors.
We both felt your written imagery well fit the song's vibe.
Enjoyed it!

Hi Mario,
If I could play a flute, I would do exactly what you said; sit under a tree and make a melody. But I'm pretty sure I than won't end up with something like your beautiful song!
So probably I would only sit under that tree and listen time after time to your song instead. You did a great job, I loved the melody, the instruments and percussion. So relaxing and that's what I need now the most.
Thanks Mario!
Hans

Cool. Relaxing. Spiritual. There was just four of us on adventure through a Navajo-owned canyon in Arizona, and our guide played his flute in the echoing walls. You would have fit right in, Mario. Beautifully played with great tone. Thank you.

Minor criticisms. Keep or sweep... I did listen again and you are right it is a little weak on the bass side of things. thanx for pointing that out. The drums are real drums and yes they are repetitive, thus my comments in my original message. I usually work with MIDI drums but I don't have the kind of drums that were in the RD so I just left the entire track in the song. Nice one Mario - as a bassist I echo Redeye's request for more bottom end.
I agree Ray, see above.

Hans Hans, I'm sure you would do much better at coming up with a flute song than I did. Thanx for this wonderful review.

Nothing to add that hasn't been said. Exactly as described. Nice work! Bummer about having to manually enter the MIDI data.
