I've got a problem I've never had before and it's only started since I returned BiaB to its factory settings:
I have an instrumental which is 192 bars. On the interface it's 1 (for bar start) & 4x48, but as I've now written lyrics for it and an excellent lady singer has already recorded test vocals for the 1st 48 bars, which is tricky as there's no intro and the vocals start on Bar 1, I've tried adding a 4 bar intro, but it's produced 2 anomalies which baffle me. I've added intros before, and never had a problem, so I've now no idea what's going on:
Having inserted a 4 bar intro I now get 5 (for the bar the chorus now starts on, which is correct), and I then get 52x4 despite that the actual bars (minus the intro and not counting the finale) are still 192 aka 48x4. But when I save it as a WAV file there are 2 totally baffling anomalies:
1: Although the full length of the track is saved, the final ¼ is silent as the music stops playing at the end of the 3rd chorus when there are 4 choruses as the "52x4" agrees. So, what's causing that?
2: The other bizarre anomaly is that despite having a 4 bar intro and the 1st chorus set to start on Bar 5, when I click 'play' there is no 4 bar intro (even though BiaB shows it's playing those bars); so let's say the 1st 8 bars without the intro are A-G x 8, so with the intro it's now A-G x 12, which all show in the chord-input boxes, but BiaB is only playing 8 x A-G, then although it shows it's playing the A-G of Bars 9-12 what it's actually playing are the next 4 bars which are say C-D! IE: everything is displaced by 4 bars as BiaB is only playing the initial 8 x A-G not the 12 it should be. Further, this happens whether I use BiaB's generated intro chords and when I input my own. What can possibly cause this?
PS: I've also tried copying and pasting the 1st 48 bars so that the whole score is on one page, but I still get exactly the same problems as above,

Are you able to put the songfile in Dropbox and then post a link in this thread so that we can download it and have a look? That would be the easiest way try and work out what is causing your problem as people on the forum could have a look at the actual problem file.
I have had issues with adding intros to a song even in the unfolded form. In the single loop unfolded mode (#4 in picture) make sure that the song starts on measure one and ends on the very last measure. This always works for me.
I hope this helps and good luck.
PS - I quit using chorus loops years ago because of various problems. I only do unfolded song now. However you must be aware of the 255 measure limit.

Thanks for the suggestion, Noel, but I've solved the problem! See my reply to Mario!

Many thanks Mario, but exactly the same thing happened when doing that, however it was only through following those instructions that my analytical buds rescanned the issue and in a flash I figured out what the problem was! It was a rookie error: I hadn't unfrozen the tracks! So I first removed the intro then unfroze the tracks and reinserted the intro and it worked as it should! I also got all 4 choruses playing - though why it previously only played 3 when it was set to 4 is a baffler.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
