Hello Donny,
you've posted a few songs but have barely engaged with others in the forum.

Cheers

Hi Racy, well I won't be posting close to 6K posts like you have, that would take me about 2000 years. I have enjoyed quiet solitude for many years, some say I am a hermit. I don't have social media accounts but I do have a YouTube channel for my work as a song writer/busker.

The work I have posted on this site is done because it uses BIAB as my back up band for my traveling busking tours in northern west USA.

The track I posted today is the BIAB band that backs my song up. My plan, if I can ever get extra cash is to 'live' feed the busking tours, which include me singing and playing on my trike with the amp in the rear basket and BIAB on a laptop in the front basket.

Since this is a PGMusic website, I just thought I would let people hear how I use their software. Maybe spur a few ideas for the up-and-coming humble songwriters.

BTW, if you want the chord work, or theory explanation or any questions about song writing just ask. Vibrations are key.

Dear Touring Busking Donny Gee Hermit,
I'm not sure how any of the above relates to my comment.
You could, as you are online & posting, listen to the work of others with minimal extra effort. Not me & mine but the fine folk who've listened & commented on yours. You might comment, make suggestions, lend your wisdom to others. You don't need to be Mr Party, Mr Friendly, Mr Racy or even Mr Moderate.
You already use this social part of the website.
Hermit status is fine: over the last two years or so I clap eyes on fewer people in a month than I did in an hour in 2021.

Cheers

Donny,
Neat composition, good progression and clear mix. Listens well and thank you for sharing.

I will try to re-word what (I think) Ray is trying to say. Unlike big platforms that build their model on distribution, User Showcase is a more like community creative space where (mainly) artists listen to other artists.
Ask for opinions, suggestions, collaborations, see what others are doing... To be heard, you listen to other folks work. It is not mandatory at all, but that keeps dynamics healthy. Also, it's a good idea to space out tunes to give people time to respond...

I have a total of 15 posts of which 8 are re-posts, you know, interaction with forum members. Let's see that is over 50%. You cannot see that I do listen to other artists here, so assuming I don't would be inaccurate. Have a wonderful day. BTW! You have posted twice in this song thread and not said anything on the subject matter. Again, have a super day and nice to meet you and thank you for your advice.

Cruising is the right genre for this song.
Nice RT work and mix.

Welcome to the forum, Donny. This is a fun cruise, well crafted. and good use of the software. You can already see how beneficial and cool this place is, and I hope to hear some more.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thank you very much Dcuny, I was able to infuse some 1st and 2nd inversions into the chord structure. If you want to play along, play in the key of B minor. The words and my playing are not recorded as I do that live busking. Thanks again.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
