Hi
I'm trying to use Biab as a backing track resource for online music playing using the Sonobus platform.
Sonobus allows musicians from all over the world to play together and is a great resource for learning and meeting people. Many use Ireal as there backing tracks however the quality of Biab is far better quality.
Sonobus can be installed as a VST and I have managed to install the Vst as a plugin to the Master on the mixer window then by arming the audio track can play the backing and my instrument thru to sonobus.
My problem is that when i load a new song im kicked out of sonobus and have to re install it in the mixer master and re-join the group.
is there a better way to achieve this?

Unfortunately, I'm not at all acquainted with any of the online collaboration platforms.
I would think that the platform Sonobus, would be the main program and any audio in your computer from music or other recording programs would simply and automatically be a part of the action, so to speak. In Zoom for example, everything going on on my computer can fairly easily be included to share with everyone else. But no matter what I do on the computer in my DAW, that Zoom connection is primary.
The way I'm understanding what you said is that Sonobus is a VST in the DAW or music program. And as such, yes, every time you load a new song it will require the restart or inclusion of the VST in the new project which would essentially kick you off and you'd need to reestablish the comm link. That's why I would think Sonobus would need to be the primary platform vs a plug in to a specific project.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
