You Can Never on Soundcloud You Can Never on YouTube This song is...well, I suppose it's a secret. At least I can never say... You'll most likely remember Meat Loaf's similar idea in “I'd Do Anything For Love.” Key=Bb , Tempo 120, Length (m:s)=3:04 Style is =GRUMBLE.STY (Grumble Rumba Blues) RealTracks in song: 2157:Piano, ElectricVintage, Rhythm FunkyGroove60sJohn Ev 100 RealTracks in style: 3985:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RumbaBluesPat 120 Loop in Song: Percussion Loops\Loop124bpm Conga 8ths 4 bars fill at end.wma Loop in Song: Percussion Loops\Loop132bpm Tambourine Quarters 4 bars.wma RealDrums in style:BluesRumbaPercEv^1-a:Tom, Sidestick, Perc , b:Snare, HiHat, Perc Dave Bell, AKA Blue Attitude, played guitar and I sang and played bass. You Can Never You can say anything that you want about the nik-nik nasty no-no, but you cannot go around telling folks you heard this sound in a foreign cabaret show. There's some feed in the barn and it soon it will be gone, or we'll trade it all for some more seed. All the cats will gather round cuz you know they love that sound, and it smells like what they need. You can say anything that you want. You can do anyting that you do. You can hold back love. You can stomp on my soul. But you can never, never ever woowoo. You can take control of turning the wheel and going wherever you go, but you cannot sneak the ace when it's not your turn to deal, but don't think that no one would know. All the days you turn away from the freedom just to stay, are the days at last you'll never need. There's a saying on your face that is not your saving grace; we know you're guilty of the deed. My, my. Don't say goodbye. Say you're gonna stick around. Cry, cry. No alibi. I'll be six feet in the ground. Last CH: You can say it. Yes, go say it. And you can do it as you please. You control it. You can unroll it. But you can never...

Hi Marty. It's a sort of Latin "Achy Breaky" :-) You could bring your vocal up a little.

Marty, why I never.................
A very catchy tone. Super lyrics and vocal. As usual outstanding bass, lead guitar and mix.
You two always produce some of the best ear candy.
Loved it.

COOL TUNE Marty. the mix sounds a little "crisp" with bottom end seemingly only coming from the bass. Your voice sounds slightly filtered as if the you've place a high pass filter around 100Hz and a scoop around 500Hz. I suspect a little change to your personal bottom end will lift the vocal in the mix. Mr Bell does his magic as expected and this song skips along at a good clip and is very cool.

Hi Marty & Dave ...
I love rhumba blues and this one hits the mark perfectly in the center. You two gentlemen make some fabulous music!
I agree with Vic the vocal could come just a little more forward in the mix. Great lyric and vocal. And Dave worked his six-string magic, as he always does so very nicely. And that bass track is perfect. Man, this is just so cool!
Best to both of you ...
Alan
PS: Marty - got the book this evening. Thanks a bunch!

Vic Thanks, Vic. Seems I try to hide my vocal. My mixing notes always seem to includes the symbol <V, which means turn down vocal. Marty,

PS: Marty - got the book this evening. Thanks a bunch! Thank you, Alan. I'm starting to agree with you and Vic. I think the better solution is to get a real singer --or at least a real AI voice. hehe P.S. I'm already through two of your books. Are you getting my emails? What a cool groove Marty. Loved the lyric. Super vocal. Dave's guitar solo was excellent. Well done Thanks so much, Scott. Very grateful. Fun listen. I've got no clue what it was about, but it had a cool beat and swung right along! Thanks, David. I can never tell.

We love a rhumba and this is no exception, Marty. Your groovin’ bass and the electric piano had Janice’s “happy feet” going good. Dave’s guitar was the icing on this colorful cake! Vocals were mighty fine and the video was as always supportive of the audio and enjoyable. Cool rhumfunk new genre! J&B

Marty, Fun swaying tune. Your Latinesque offerings are always fun as it seems you are enjoying creating this type of music. Tastefully arranged. Excellent vocals and clear mix. And you can't go wrong with Dave, his guitar adds a very cool layer. Enjoyed it, and thank you for sharing. Misha. P.S. My son was practicing playing Sway today (by D.Martin), so "You Can Never" was a neat continuation

Holy way, eh? That is one cool song. Although I don't know the exact subject matter, I can get an inkling by your clever lyrics. Dave has a knack for creating just the right lead guitar part. The lead here was not what I expected, but it fit perfectly.

Feel good music with catchy rhythm calling to dance in a barn with the cats. Funny and clever lyrics, especially that part I can never say Good vocals, balanced mix and Dave is always the ace you can play without fear of losing. Janne

The lead here was not what I expected, but it fit perfectly. Ah, great detective work, Scott. I'll make a guess that your inkling is correct. I KNOW you're correct about Dave. I gave up expecting from Dave because what he gives me is always so much better. Thanks so much. Feel good music with catchy rhythm calling to dance in a barn with the cats. Funny and clever lyrics, especially that part I can never say Good vocals, balanced mix and Dave is always the ace you can play without fear of losing. Janne Well read between the lines, Janne. Yep, Dave is two hands better than a royal flush in spades. Great Groove to this song, fun upbeat, cool lyrics. I like the Bass and Guitar work on this. I watched your video, its cool also. Surprising choice for the ending, but it works. Nice Job. Thanks, Elliott. I had to end abruptly because I was afraid I was about to spill the beans.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
