If no one really cares to ask me why? Where do I find meaning you may ask? Life between the pages turning fast It's not just paper flying by until you reach the end But the stories with your family and your friends Staring at the mountain range before me Testifying to eternal glory What if it is just another place to be? Would it even matter if I wasn't here to see? Maybe all that matters - is it matters to me ============ Song about realizing the good things in life are slipping away if we don't make the effort to look. A conglomeration of inspirations. One of which is grandchildren growing too fast, the approaching last few months of the magic 0-5 years with our granddaughter. Lack of any enthusiasm for my music in my, ahem, immediate family. Many lines have multiple meanings. Needing to do more things with my wife here in our later years. Get out, get living. I can empathise with some of your lines although there are a couple that could be reworked (Isn't that always the case though for all of us). E.G: "Staring at the bottom of the glass" has been used in a few songs and being a first line stands out more than if it were a second or third line. The second verse, "I can hear the calling of the sea." Why is that if it's a song about making music? The line comes over as a distraction to what you really want to do. As I said, it's a pleasant sounding song but lyric wise it lacks purpose. I hope you don't take my thoughts the wrong way. I'm just trying to help and I haven't written a perfect song yet so what do I know? Vic

Your smooth vocal and very nice fingerpicking are a perfect fit for the lyric and the RT’s well support it all.
