I Know It's Wrong on Soundclound I Know It's Wrong on YouTube This is a song about someone who struggles with infidelity and wins. I Know It's WrongI know it's wrong but it feels so right. You can't be seen with me. We don't belong together in this light. We can't let others see. You know it's dangerous. I know it's wrong. We know attraction could be so strong. I know it's wrong but you look so good. But looks will never last. I know we shouldn't, but you know we could. And life can change so fast. You know we're strangers. I know it's wrong. I'd seek forgiveness, but she'd be long gone. Where would I be if she would say goodbye and I lose the love we made? How could I ever look her in the eye and confess the sin that I have strayed? Some say it's wrong --these old fashion ways. Most think I should give in. But don't prolong your teaseing phase, and in the end I'll win. You must keep moving. I must go home where I won't be alone. Marty,
Love this! What a great song. It has a similar swagger like the old Elvis song "Reconsider Baby".
Your vocal and bass are awesome and Dave sounds great as usual.
Great, great stuff!

Very cool Marty, VERY. The only nit is that there's a click or plectrum on string noise at about 13 seconds that jumped out at me...no one seems to have noticed but it may be worth addressing. You are the Ace of Basses. COOL stuff.

Nice solid blues. Well put together and a easy listen. Some of the lead inserts seemed a bit brittle (harsh) but that is probably mostly my headphones. Maybe try and duck those a little behind the vocals? JMHO!!!! Lead break is awesome.

Bob Thanks, Bob Dean. Yeah, that was my swaggering cowboy voice. He has morals though. Fight against it I say. Well done you two. I like the use of limp flowers in the vid. Vic Thanks, Vic. Thanks for noticing the double use of the flowers. I sang "fade" there, but... Very cool Marty, VERY. The only nit is that there's a click or plectrum on string noise at about 13 seconds that jumped out at me...no one seems to have noticed but it may be worth addressing. You are the Ace of Basses. COOL stuff. Man, you have gifted ears, Ray. I never noticed it. It must be the bass. Thanks for dealing that trump card. Coming from you it's a HUGE statement. I have a song nearly ready where you really really helped me lay down the right Reggae track. Blues! Excellent guitar licks! Excellent lyrics! I'm a happy camper. Thank you, David! Now I'm smelling smoke around the campfire while we're all kicking out the Blues.

fj Yep. A happy ending. Thank you, floyd. Always a smile when reading your comments. Thanks so much. I'm not a vocalist. When I sing a song I seem to get in character or something. That's my weathered cowboy. He appeared in a couple others. I have one in the hopper where I reach a Bb(1), where I thought only Vic Arnold could go. Nice solid blues. Well put together and a easy listen. Some of the lead inserts seemed a bit brittle (harsh) but that is probably mostly my headphones. Maybe try and duck those a little behind the vocals? JMHO!!!! Lead break is awesome.
Rick Hey, thanks so much for the suggestion, Rick. In fact it was Dave who gave me the way to solve the problem. I was just gonna say the guitar is much more valuable, in my opinion, but I am learning. Thanks again. man. Much appreciated.
Yes, rayc, Marty is the Ace of Basses! Great lead licks as well. Good collaboration to be sure!
Thanks, Dewey.

Hi Marty and Dave,
You have a very nice timbre in your (lower) vocals in this delicious Blues, Marty! I like that sound. Dave plays the stars from heaven. Altogether a delicious Blues as I said. And I saw that black Queen was cheating terribly. I think the other side was distracted by your song. Must be.
But other than that deception, I didn't notice anything wrong with the lyrics. So the title left me confused... ;-)

Marty, blues at it absolute best. Outstanding vocal and lyrics. You are one heck of a song writer and bassist. Everyone knows Dave plays the heck out of that guitar. Loved it.

Excellent blues, nice bass and singing. Loved Dave's guitar.
Top notch song.
Peter Thank you, Peter! Man, I've been listening a lot to the J&B Public Domain albums, and you are quite amazing on them. No surprise, but still...
Must be.

Hans Hi Hans. AH, you noticed the queen's gamble. It's surprising her opponent didn't, but not likely my song is to blame. The title says it all. It's about the queen's move. I (we) Know It's Wrong. Marty...astounding!...a blues song where virtue wins out! I love it! another stellar production by you and Dave...I agree with Hans about your vocal...that lower register suits you well...this is pro level stuff...as usual...you are a "Songsmith" for sure! Thanks, Dan. Stay tuned for our next post. Pretty excited about Goodbye. Marty, blues at it absolute best. Outstanding vocal and lyrics. You are one heck of a song writer and bassist. Everyone knows Dave plays the heck out of that guitar. Loved it.
PS - What a queen moving diagonally the making a left hand turn onto a different color square in not the Queen's Gambit? Thank you very much, Mario. Yeah, for that queen's move it was all about hand placememnt.

Oh yeah, good slinky blues!
You sing the heck out of this, Marty and your bass is, as always, buttery smooth. Dave’s solo and fills capture the emotion within the lyric.
We enjoyed the video and noticed something new each time we watched. Also both of us had a chuckle when we saw that “tempting” apple.
And yea for the happy ending for the couple!

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks
MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:
There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:
1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
