Good Karma (YouTube) If you don't have a premium Youtube account and wish to avoid ads here's a link to the video from our website. Good Karma We created this Janice "performance" video to support a small local park that is focused on creating and maintaining a habitat for butterflies and other pollinators. The park was created and is maintained by a wonderful group of volunteers. While we shot the videos of Janice ALL of the photos were taken by the park’s volunteers and they include some great photographers. Their motto is “Celebrating Nature Brings Wings to Your Spirit & Peace to Your Soul.” The tune is a remix with new vocals (including harmony) of “Good Karma” that we posted five years ago. Thanks to PG Music for all and PeterF for the guitar tracks. We appreciate your time to watch - hey it’s only 3 minutes Janice: vocal, melody and arrangement Bud: lyric, arrangement and the production stuff Peter: guitar Vocals: Rode NT1 mic > Scarlett Interface > Logic Pro > Nectar RT 392: Bass, Acoustic, Jazz Ballad Sw 060 (Very Simple) / Waves Bass Rider / Neutron 3 MIDI SuperTrack 1886:Piano, Solo-Accompaniment Bluesy12-8John Sw 060 - comped from several regens / Logic Pro Grand Steinway / Waves CLA Unplugged / Ozone 10 Imager RealDrums: JazzBrushesSticks: a: Brushes - fills comped / Waves CLA Drums Mix: Logic Pro X Mastering: Logic EQ > Waves LinMB > Ozone Imager > Ozone Maximizer > Ozone Tonal Balance

The appearance of the flutterby says it all really. Sweet, sweet narrative with a great message, cool smooth lilting melody, succinct arrangement & Peter's lead lines. Love it.

Hi Janice, Bud and Peter,
As robert wrote I also remember this song, but the remix is wonderful! The piano gives a special mood to the song. Janice and her doubles are great in it (as always) I got some very good karma from it too.
What more can I say, beside saying I'm getting a bit sentimental listening to it.

Very comforting soundtrack for the beautiful video. Great photos, I know it is not easy to capture a flying butterfly. I wish that good karma will bless all those people who work hard to keep nature flourishing by giving pollinators a place to do their daily chores. And Janice is a shining singing flower in that park Janne

Man, you guys are always on my playlists. Outstanding as always. My dogma was run over by my karma. This is such a wonderful treat. Surely putting you three together always makes for the best music. [Well, right after your song played on YT, Bela Fleck and Billy Strings showed up --they're pretty good too.] Love the video too. Mix, performance --heck, everythoing about this is quality that can only come from good karma.

I feel like the saying "you make beautiful music together" was a phrase specifically coined for you three! Music is, obviously, beyond the scope of any one part. It always astounds me when people manage to make everyone of those parts work so well together that you kind of forget they are separate pieces at all. In my opinion music comes down to one thing. Emotion. That may seem overly simplistic, but ultimately I feel that is what it is. I only say that because this song left me with the best of emotions. It even gives me hope for humanity, a giving freely spirit and gratitude. I think these are needed now as much as maybe some of the worst times. Thank you for creating a wonderful environment to feel that way.

J&B...great track...super vocals and mix...I love the piano intro and accompaniment...though I am neither Buddhist or Hindu (the philosophies from which the concept of karma comes) I do believe that the principle of sowing and reaping is at work in everyone's life...your projects are always so professional sounding and so well performed and produced as usual! I always love hearing them.

COOLCOOLCOOL Video!
Beautiful vocals and harmonies. (Duh)
Peter's guitar work is exquisite. Melodic.
KILLER Mix. The fact that you can hear the brush swirling on the snare head but nothing in the mix is Too Crisp is practically the Definition of a Pro Mix. Mind Boggling.
A great sounding Piano!

This is spectacularly good. I, too, remember this song - and what a joy it is to listen to it, once more (within this context). The blues are simply wonderful, but - of course - Janice's voice and delivery is what makes this song. Never fails to positively surprise and strike me with awe. Bravi.

That was great timing when the butterfly landed on the flower right next to Janice as she sat in the gazebo. Perfect shot!

I think this is the 3rd or 4th song I've commented on today where Janice sings.... I don't think I'll ever get tired of her voice. And there is some VERY tasteful guitar playing, Peter really knows where to accent and where to just keep quiet. Great mix! I hope that with your help the local park will get more attention.

I love this song! And Janis is spot on re the good karma in the bank: I contacted my hybrid elf-genie Goddessfather, the Golden Meanie, and he hacked into your sub-ether bank account - naughty, I know - and you've got oodles of good vibes in credit, not to mention the all-essential Ascended Atlantean Dollars! He said to let you know that the sub-ether credit card, KarmaMerit, now triples your good vibe input, but to avoid FengShuiCard as it doesn't matter where you place the statements they always give you a headache! It's anti-intuitive, I know, but when I sought a good ley line for keeping my FengSuiCard statements I came out in a rash all over my etheric double!

Janice, Bud and Peter,
It's a really well maintained beautiful park. “Celebrating Nature Brings Wings to Your Spirit & Peace to Your Soul.” is clearly embodied. I'm sure Janis' performance will be of great help in maintaining the park. Great video. Peter's guitar also supports Janis's singing very well. Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.
Best regards.

This is spectacularly good. I, too, remember this song - and what a joy it is to listen to it, once more (within this context). The blues are simply wonderful, but - of course - Janice's voice and delivery is what makes this song. Never fails to positively surprise and strike me with awe. Bravi. Thanks! It was fun to work with the butterfly folks J&B

Hi Janice, Bud and Peter.
This is truly exquisite listening. I remember it from 5 years ago and as with vintage wine, time has been kind and has made it tastier and sweeter. The video is superb. I love watching Janice sing. There is an elegance in her vocals that warm and soothe a weary soul. She makes singing look so easy and uncomplicated. Everything about this presentation sits perfectly. The arrangement, the mix and the performances from Peter and Janice.
"Beautiful music in the best way possible."
100% enjoyable in every way. --Noel

I remember this from the first time. It is definitely an upgrade with the cool new video from that special place. The mix, the vocals, the guitar are all exquisite and serve as another example of the craftsmanship of all 3 of you. Tom

Really intriguing how great music, a field of flowers, beautiful butterflies and spectacular vocals all came together to form an enchanting song. Superb job, everyone. Thanks for posting it for us to hear.
Kajun Jeaux We all much appreciate your time to listen and write those kind and supportive comments! J&B That was great timing when the butterfly landed on the flower right next to Janice as she sat in the gazebo. Perfect shot!
Five years ago I was a newbie here. Great song. All aspects sound professional.
Beautiful setting for the video. Thank you very much! We got lucky with the gazebo clip indeed. J&B Janice and Bud:
Excellent in every way . . . you all don’t miss a beat when it comes to making music. Terrific video as well. Good stuff!!
Hope you are all safe and well!
Deej Thanks a bunch! J&B Beautiful song and a lovely video. Those volunteers (and others like them) provide a much needed ray of hope in this mean old world. Kind regards, Leon Thanks and yes they do! J&B I think this is the 3rd or 4th song I've commented on today where Janice sings.... I don't think I'll ever get tired of her voice. And there is some VERY tasteful guitar playing, Peter really knows where to accent and where to just keep quiet. Great mix! I hope that with your help the local park will get more attention. Somehow several collabs ended up on the first page … no attempt to saturate it. Thank you very much from the three of us for those generous comments. Much appreciated indeed! J&B

LOVE IT!!! Great idea.....we need to have a lot more people think about making daily deposits Piano sounds killer, ALWAYS lover Peter's guitar and Janice's Oh So SWEET voice!! What a treat!! Take care. Greg Thank you Greg! J&B I love this song! Tripled? Wow! That is appreciated Thank you for the listen and watch ... and for the supportive comments. J&B I'm late to that party on this one!
Janice's vocal goodness plus Bud's stellar mixing and Peter's tasteful guitars.
Plus butterflies!
Excellent. Glad you liked it all! And yes butterflies ... actually many, many more than showed in the clips J&B Janice, Bud and Peter,
It's a really well maintained beautiful park.
Shigeki Adachi Thank you Shigeki ... it is nice hearing from you! J&B Hi Janice, Bud and Peter.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
