This is no biggie, but I was wondering if there is a PG website component to demo ALL styles online by search.

Sometimes I am in airports and want to check out a style on my phone if I hear it used in the forum.

I know all of the Xtra styles have online demos so I was just wondering about the rest

Just curious.

Somewhere in the forum I posted a link for the PG server that has all the style demos that the style picker uses if you don't have the wma demo.
x:\bb\RealTracks\Data\Style Demos Audio
you can copy that folder to your phone's SD card.

Not sure if this helps but this web page gives you a list of all the different tracks and each one of the tabs at the top has demos of the particular styles, as well as demo links further down the page.

BIAB & RB2023 Win.(Audiophile), SonarPlatinum, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, SynthogyIvory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer ActiveMonitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones

https://demos.pgmusic.com/audio/allstyledemos2/
use that link and add the style.m4a
https://demos.pgmusic.com/audio/allstyledemos2/_80PBELL.m4a

You can save the Style list to a text file in the Style Picker > Action > Copy Link to Clipboard
C:\bb\Data\StyleListTabDelimited.Txt
If you get enthusiastic you can create an html page that will play them as you click the links.
You could use https://wtools.io/convert-tsv-to-html-table but would need to add the url hyperlink to the Style name.
You could automate all that with a text or html editor.
Code:
<a href="https://demos.pgmusic.com/audio/allstyledemos2/_80PBELL.m4a" title="">_80PBELL</a>

Here's a demo, just use Ctrl+F to find the Style on PC
https://reatrak.com/downloads/biab/style-player/
It may need updating to include some newer styles, but try and see if it works ok.

Thanks guys, thanks to all!@

And Musocity, this is a neat trick. Thanks very much. Exact what I was looking for.

FYI, I have BIAB 2023 audiophile and I cannot find a folder that has the wmv audio files for styles, or I would copy to phone.

I see the styles themselves, but no folder anywhere for the audio. Who knows where they are hidden!!

Any suggestions??

You could batch convert the wma to m4a to play on your phone if it can't play wma.
They have the RealTrack demos in F:\bb\Demos\RealTracks - Demos
but the Style and Drum demos are in the RealTracks Data folder for some reason ??

Oh that is cool and very handy, Musocity.

Thanks.

I never would have though to look there.

Even when I DID look there I had to scroll down past "cellos" and "clarinets" and stuff and find "Data" under instruments and then "Style Demos."

And exciting Easter Egg Hunt!

But I also made a spreadsheet of all the styles and put that on my phone, and the link you gave is great, because all you have to is replace the style name, and voila, you have it. I bookmarked that.

Thanks a lot!!

I will post the the way I made it so if anyone else needs to do it.

In the Style Picker > Action > Copy Link to Clipboard
C:\bb\Data\StyleListTabDelimited.Txt
use https://wtools.io/convert-tsv-to-html-table
edit the html in Notepad++ (free)
use Search > Replace
Find what: (<tr>\s*\R\s*<td>)(.+)</td>

Replace with: $1<a href="https://demos.pgmusic.com/audio/allstyledemos2/$2.m4a" title="" target="_blank">$2</a></td>

Check > Regular expression

then save, this will give you an html page that will open in your browser as here https://reatrak.com/downloads/biab/style-player/
when the style name is clicked it will open the m4a demo file in a new tab to play.

I still had my 2023 Audiophile in it's box so I had to copy all the new styles on it to my current bb\Styles folder, rebuild, and save to text then then convert to html and update the site https://reatrak.com/downloads/biab/style-player/
so there are 2000 new ones 14,428 all up.

p.s.

This is like stepping into a casino.

With this list, I can walk around with my phone, play roulette, find a style I like, let it run in the background, hit record on my phone and start singing and capture a rudimentary title, hook and chorus.

I could walk around in the woods and write 50 songs, come back home, call up the styles, tweak a few things, add some chords, finish the lyrics, sing it and I am good to go!

I am about to get really dangerous!!!!!!!

The world as we know it is nowhere near ready for you to get any more dangerous.

I remember the first time I had sex with my wife. As we started getting into it she said "I believe you go big or you go home." Then we got naked.

She sent me home.

I remember my car radio had a USB/SD socket so I put them all on an SD and set it to random play on a long trip and any I liked I made a note of.

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

Dennis posted his very thorough Band-in-a-Box® review recently, where he dives into some of the new features added with version 2023: Sound-Guy's Band-in-a-Box Review

Read his thoughts on the Download & Install Manager, partial track regeneration, Playable RealTracks, Audio Editing, the addition of SynthMaster, the VST DAW Plugin, and more!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
