Couldn’t think of no one else / working hard for my self I didn’t have the time / but my heart changed my mind I know that I needed more / The kind of love Ive been looking for To open up my heart / and find what’s in the stars
Won’t spend my life alone I know, this, is, love, for, sure / when I met you
Full of self-doubt / alone in a crowd I have been hurt before / Don’t have those feeling anymore To allow someone in / To fool me again
I locked my heart away Not open to the world / as fragile as a pearl Nothing will stand in my way Now Im not alone / in a world of our own Won’t spend my life alone I know, this, is, love, for, sure / when I met you
I will give a second chance / to this crazy thing they call romance put myself at risk / my feelings are still mixed I will put my trust in you / and take a chance to see it through open up my heart / to find what’s in the stars
Won’t spend my life alone I know, this, is, love, for, sure / when I met you
Hey Eliott, some minutes ago i was replying to your post on my song 'The dice' and now I listened to your very nice song 'When i met you'! You let AI Natalie and Solaria do the singing. Well they did a good job. Very nice, easy song and nice doubles in the chorusses.
While listening, i wondered how this song would sound if you sing along with the 'girls'? After all, you have a very good voice yourself. I really like hearing that! So, a duett could be an interesting challenge!
But to come back at the song itself. Very nice, although I had hoped for a surprise 'break' somewhere in it. That could make it even more interesting.
Cool vibe and I really dig that bass. Natalie and Kevin are becoming some of my favs. She sounds great here and teaming her up with Solaria was a great choice. You write such good lyrics that flow so well. I like how you use dynamics. What a pleasing flow to this song, Elliott. The happy melody bounces nicely.
Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #17: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #69: Bring consciousness to it. #74: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #105: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
Elliott, this is top shelf all the way. Man, you can make those synth voices sound so real! Great backing tracks, I really like that stop with only a vocal and piano, brilliant! Super groove. Loved that bass!
I want my last spoken words to be "I hid a million dollars under the........................"

Cool groove to this tune. Was surprised to hear the vocaloid. That technology blows me away. The kick drum was really cool. Really thumped my speakers. Well done
Excellent combination of Synth-V and BIAB! I especially like the way you programmed Natalie for the solo, she sounds very real, and the harmonies work really well.
My only comments:
1) The lyrics printed on your site are different here and there (compared to the recording) and since you have such good lyrics it would be great to edit them for people like me who like to follow along while listening. 2) I don't mean to be pedantic, but as the title is "when I met you" I'm wondering if perhaps the line might be better as "I knew this was love for sure / when I met you" so that it's all in the past tense. The rest of the song is in the past tense, so this would make sense to me. Just a suggestion...
Elliot...very nice...your songs are always pro sounding and so well produced...the "girls" sound so sweet and those harmonies are killer...I love the tempo and melody...the staccato line at the end of the chorus is so cool...you have made the AI voices fit so well and sound very human!

You are who you are because you do what you do because of what you believe.
Elliot, Easy going tune. A bit different from your other offerings. Good production / mix and training of robo singer. P.S.I am with J&B on "hope to continue hearing your vocals also." Thank you for sharing. Misha.
I love this! The writing and the arranging are superb. The production is also first class. The relaxed, easy-on-the-psyche groove really settles in well and takes the listener on very pleasurable musical journey. It's a fantastic soundscape that you've created. You have also done wonders with Natalie and Solaria. Just this week, I have been playing around with these Synth V voices and doing my best to tame them. I've still got quite a way to go to catch up to you, though!

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
