I would think this had come up before. but I am not getting answers with the Search function. I cannot add Kontakt 7 to my VST instruments (or Komplete Kontrol for that matter.) I am seeing certain instruments emerge that REQUIRE it. Any ideas?

Sorry. Never mind. I just saw that VST3 support is slated for BIAB 2004.

But we won’t know for sure until version 2024 is released. Certainly that has become an essential feature.

Sorry. Never mind. I just saw that VST3 support is slated for BIAB 2004. As we're close-ish to the 2024 release, we'll soon know for sure, but if not, there are several VST hosts that will host VST3s and give a VST2 presentation to BIAB/DAWs/etc.. Musocity has commended the free/OpenSource "Elements" by Kushview.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Thanks.. Tried these (various versions) but they crashed BIAB... The Elements solution worked, so I'm good until the 2024 release.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
