How can I used different different Real Drums variations within the same song? Like changing the variation for different verses or a chorus? The Real Drums I'm using are very nice(by Mike Clark), but there are no stems for this particular drummer for me to mess with. I'm hoping to use the different variations for dynamics and changes in the groove.

I'm presuming A & B type Part Markers are not delivering what you need?

This assumes that the particular drum beat you selected that is played by Mike Clark has Variations listed that you can see and hear when choosing the drum part. It's not stems (although that would be great); it's descriptions like 1- A: brushes, B: sticks then 2-A,B sticks etc.

I can create more part markers? I love Mike's fusion/funk grooves, but I wish that they weren't all with a fat snare sound. Stems would allow me to at least EQ or mix down the snare a bit.

You can also right click on the measure you want to place a part marker and select define c &d Continue adding part markers using this selection and each new part marker will contain an a and b sub section.
This might be the easiest way to get what you want, giving total creative control and be able to convert instantly to stems no matter what sections of different RealDrums you use: Manual Stereo Drum Track Creation to Stems

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
