Please tell me if this feature is already available in BIAB 2023 Mac (I couldn't find it), but I'd like to be able to set certain tracks to just ignore all the pushes, shots, and holds that I've put into the song. I often end up making a song containing all the pushes and holds, rendering it, and then saving it as a new song and removing all the pushes and holds (which can be time-consuming) so that I can re-render the song for certain selected instruments without the pushes and holds. If this could be done as a sub-menu on the right-click Track Settings menu, that'd be perfect (a sub-menu with the option to switch off Pushes, Rests, Shots/Holds, with all 3 options being "on" by default).
Mostly, I'd want to apply this setting to a soloist track so the soloist doesn't get freaked out by pushes, and keeps on playing whilst the backing group are doing all sorts of rhythmic stuff with pushes, rests, shots and holds.
Besides that, there are plenty of occasions when a certain realtrack's approach to these chord settings simply doesn't fit in with what I'm trying to achieve (e.g. too brash or too clunky sounding) - I'd like to keep the instrument in the song, but would prefer it to just ignore certain chord settings.
By the way... yes, I know that you can do the "Except for..." thing for rests/shots/holds on individual chords, but it's tedious to do that on every shot/held chord when you've got a lot of them, and you can only apply it to the b/p/d/g/s tracks - it's no use at all for utility tracks. And there's no way to have specific instruments bypass the pushes at all (as far as I know).

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know specifically if this can be done on the Mac version as a setting, but there is possibly a fairly easy workaround.
1: Record the song with the pushes etc as normal.
2: Freeze all the tracks except for the Soloist track.
3: Change the Song Settings to not allow Shots Holds and Pushes
4: Generate the tracks again. Only the Soloist track should be generated.
You can also do this the reverse way if required.

Thanks AudioTrack! I didn't realise that setting was there. That's a great work-around.

Thanks AudioTrack! I didn't realise that setting was there. That's a great work-around. Good one. Sometimes there are difficult ways to achieve things, and sometime there are quite straightforward ways to do the same thing, but they can be less obvious too. I'm glad this helped.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
