Current version: BIAB 2024, 102, Ultrapack, upgraded from previous Ultrapack, upgraded from previous Audiophile.

I already reported this on another thread, but the discussion got sidetracked there, and I just want to make sure that this is not lost. I verified this problem in multiple tracks and multiple songs.
When I activate another drum track (in any other track, utility or not) other than the "original" drum track (even when the track is correctly set as "RealDrums (other tracks)" in the "Track Settings and Actions" window), the track will not generate until the end of the song, but it will stop well before the end, to an apparently random length.
I attached two pictures. The total song length is about 160 bars. As you can see, the first picture shows that the track (called drum 1) generated only up to bar 105, in the second picture the same track, just after regenerating and doing absolutely nothing else in between, generated only up to approximately bar 120. If I keep regenerating, I get different lengths, but never till the end of the song.
It looks like a bug. I can't find a good "reason" for it. It did not happen with BIAB 2023, as far as I know. Again, I experience this with any kind of RealDrums and with multiple songs (in fact, with all the songs I tried so far). It does not happen with regular RealDrums tracks, but only with "additional" RDs. Please PGM, take a look at this, as it's very convenient to have the possibility to use multiple RealDrums tracks in a song.

Jon Thomas, When you navigate to Help > About Band-in-a-Box please report the version and build number that are displayed on the second line of the pop-up window. You should see something like "Version 2024 (1102)". PG Music will need that information to investigate the issue.

I'm pretty sure that additional drum tracks generating last might be considered normal operation and PG Music likely may not consider this an issue.

However, incomplete track generation on the additional drum track is a issue. I'm confident PG Music will appreciate you identifying this issue and will address it in a future update.

I cannot replicate with a blank style with two independent drums. Both generate to 160 bars.
Can you give some specific styles and specific drums to test?

Studio One (latest version), Win 11 23H2 , i9 -10940X 3.3 GHz, 32GB Mem, a 4K 40" monitor, PreSonus Studio Live III Console as interface/controller. secondarily test on Reaper, Cakewalk, and S1 on Surface Pro 3 Win 10 (latest versions).

In the pictures attached to my message you can see the drums and the styles I was using. Anyway, this happened to me on more than one song and more than one RDs (at least 3 different songs / RDs, if I remember correctly, certainly more than one)

@Jim I edited my post with my current version of BIAB, thank you for your suggestion (and yes, it is indeed a case of incomplete generation, no matter how long I wait).

Just another (very) odd experience with BIAB 2024 (unrelated to the bug report above, but still about drums).
This morning I opened a song that never gave me any problem yesterday (created from scratch with BIAB 2024). No secondary drum track, just a good old regular drum track, in the third position in the track list, and a handful of realtracks. No midi. As normal as it could be. Notice: I did use a few drum variations in the song, from the F5 command (just 2 or 3 variations in the song, from the same RD, nothing complicated at all). But, again, I did all this yesterday, and it was working absolutely fine. The RD is AmericanaSyncBrushes. Again, the whole song was working perfectly yesterday.
This morning, I just added a few things: a third party compressor (Fab Filter Pro C2) to the drum track, and I also added some track muting from the F5 window (but nothing related to the drum track, this involved other tracks). That's it, nothing else changed. Nothing changed especially in the drum track. So, I simply hit regenerate/play, and in the middle of song, all the way to the end, the drum track plays some crazy fills / pattern all the time - it sounds like several drum variations are playing at the same time, for each bar to the end. I regenerate several times, same result. So I save my song, exit BIAB, reopen it, replay it, and now .... all is fine (!!!). How is this possible? How is it possible that the song does some crazy stuff, I don't change anything at all, I just save, reopen it, and everything is fine? I don't know. It doesn't make sense. I don't even know how to report or describe this, as it is clearly not replicable - even I cannot replicate it !!!!
I don't know about you guys. While I love BIAB, and I love this update, it seems very, very buggy to me. Every single day I find something that works unexpectedly and somewhat randomly. Pretty frustrating. We are all beta-testing this. I fully understand that it's normal to have some bugs here and there at the beginning, and I'm sure that PGM is working hard to fix it all. I will be patient and help out as much as I can. But I don't remember, with BIAB 2023, such a level of glitchyness. I could be wrong of course. But it seems to me that many, many things still need to be ironed out, quite frankly. I have full faith in PGM. But please take care of the bugs first, and only after add more functionalities.

A Exceptional Version, Exceptional Patch. So either, like me, you manage to make 2023 and 2024 coexist if your production seems essential to you, or you wait like everyone else for THE patch. There's no point reporting bugs here every day (bad publicity), it's better to send them directly to PG support.

Moultipass, I agree with everything you say (not so much about the "global beta phase" actually, but ... that's fine). My goal is to help, as I already stated at the end of my post and pretty much in every bug report that I post. And, as I also said, I am more than willing to wait and be patient. Not sure why I have to reiterate for you what I already wrote. On the other hand, I thought that reporting bugs was, indeed, a way to help. I thought that doing it publicly is a way to: 1) see if my experience is unique to my system / configuration, or if others have the same experience 2) see if my "bug" is not actually a bug, but just an error on my side (which, considering the complexity of BIAB, is more than possible), so that other more experienced users can point me to the right direction and lessen the burden on PGM with bugs report that are not really bugs. So, that's the reasoning on my side. If that's bad reasoning, I just accept it and will not report anything anymore publicly. So be it. I will just wait for "THE patch", as you call it. Just in case, though: how do I report problems directly to PGM without any publicity? That would be helpful indeed, on your part.
EDITED: never mind, I found the support form. I'm guessing that's how you report bugs.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
