Merry Christmas everyone! This is my final post of Christmas songs...for this year ...I wrote this for a Christmas concert at my church...it was the theme song for the evening...I wanted to do three things....1. tell the Christmas story without the usual stable, manger story...2. contain the incorporation of scripture and 3. be a string based piece....you can judge whether I pulled it off or not...so...if you do...thanks for listening and again Christmas wishes from my family to yours...my best regards...Dan from Heavenhttps://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11287582I just switched to a new computer and have lost the real track files...I used two acoustic guitars, bass, cello, string quartet and violin from BiaB. I added a string orchestra and oboe from my Genos.

Dan,
Very beautiful... Love your narration - it is perfect.
The production is great also. Love the strings. Very clear and present. So yes, you pulled this off very nicely.
Happy Holidays, Bob

Dan, this is a truly glorious song. Love your composition and production. Wonderfully resonant chest voice and vibrato, too. Well done!
Sorry about your lost files. The cloud, I have learned, is your friend!

This is a great song with some fantastic arrangement choices. And of course, as always, your vocals are the best part of the song. Very good!

Dan,
I’ve never written a Christmas song . . . because it’s so difficult to be original. Well, here you go. Something brilliantly unique . . . with a killer, fulsome and rich vocal. Love the synths/stings behind the voice. The spoken word, for me (and it’s subjective) is a tad disruptive within the flow of the song. But it may be more appreciated by its targeted audience. Just a lovely write, executed so well.

Ahhh! That's happened to me twice. I still can't work out how they went missing.
However.... This is really well done and with such vocal control.

Beautifully done, Dan.
Gorgeous strings. Guitars are nicely done, too. Good mix.

I always smile when I read "so...if you do...thanks for listening." Man, you are like potato chips. Who can listen to only one and not come back for more and more and more. This is outstanding on so many levels, Dan. An incredible and inspired composition. Those strings sound terrific, and it's kinda strange that I'd start off acknowledging them. They seem to represent the chills I feel while listening. Your vocals are as strong as ever and so pleasing to the ear. I like the way you change your voice as if you're several people in there. You are blessed, sir, and thanks so much for sharing it all. Your takents are not buried.

Dan,
Your music is always near-perfection and so easy to listen to. Everything in the production is fully professional All that can be said for this offering, too. But what I admire, in addition to the great sounds, is the passion in your voice. You are more than a narrator of the music you've created - you embody all that is good about it. The song is you - and you are the song. The two are inseparable.
You're a world-class class talent. This is a gorgeous song in all respects.
Merry Christmas from Di and me. Wishing your family the best of everything.
Alan

Alan Alan and Di...I've told the guys in the groups I've been with over the years..."if you can't sing good at least sing with passion"...my passion is about what I write and sing about not necessarily the songs themselves...thank you for noticing that...you made my day for sure...God bless...Dan

Merry Christmas, Dan! Thank you for the present of this song and for spreading the joy of Christ. As one who grew up with "The Nashville Sound" and with a song who's majoring in cello performance, it's a no-brainer to say I love the strings.

Oh, yeah - excellent. Narration, vocals, arrangement... everything. I especially liked where the strings entered in at the 3:00 mark.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
