Hi, here is me busking set 001 yesterday. Busking is like recording live every performance, it is what it is. I play these sets, weather permitting, most every day. I am still working on tone for this set. Please comment. Thanks for listening.

BTW! This is the live left and right channel output jacks from the stereo amps sitting on a Radio Flyer wagon. My guitar is right only, needs to move more left center, and my voice is center. Not a lot of reverb or effects, just laid back writing style. The tunes soundtracks are written and played back with BIAB software. Interested in your thoughts.

Seeing the length of 22 minutes, I figured I'd just skim through.

The tracks sound good, as does your vocal and guitar.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Donny, like your groovy jazz stylin' a LOT! Your BiaB choices are quite nice and suit the songs very well. Like your guitar and vocals, too. The mix sounds fine, especially for live. May want to edit the track as there is a lot of dead air between songs across this set. Or maybe just focus on a single song at a time. Just trying to think of a way to get you more feedback. Enjoyed the listen!

Since this is 22 minutes long and I don't have that much time tonight I just hear about a minute of each song.
Your mix was great.
Your vocals were very good.
Your backing tracks were perfect.
But it was your guitar that took it over the top for me. They were fantastic! Great tone and chops!

You write good lyrics, compose great chord structures, sample and mix brilliantly, so I'm actually disappointed that you didn't post these tracks separately as each one deserves it's own showing. I enjoy listening to long playlists and I'd really enjoy listening to all of these together, but definitely not with such vast gaps between each one. I really like this kind of smooth ride style, but stringing the tracks together with big gaps between I think was a mistake. IE: all that's wrong is the presentation.

I've listened to some other tracks on the forum today and there have been a few I wanted to comment on, but I didn't want to criticise anything - I prefer not to do that anyway - particularly on Xmas Eve! laugh But I had to comment here because your material is excellent, you've just presented it poorly. Post all of those tracks separately and you'll only get positive comments from me! laugh

Thanks Waoband, cool name. Yea, the things you mention are good, hopefully I fixed some of them. I play outside a coffee house where some people have more time than others. Thanks again. Here is today's set, as I said.

HI Danny ...

This is my kind of music! I'm a big Smooth Jazz fan. Everything sounds good. I listen to about half of a few songs. The sound quality is particularly good for the setting in which it was recorded. nice backing tracks and your voice sounds really good.

I agree with others - each song should be presented individually. They're more than good enough to get some really nice comments. Plus we would get the pleasure of hearing most of them all the way through. Most folks here just don't have 20 + minutes for one listen

Sounds nice!

Alan

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
