It can be very difficult to enter four chords directly in each bar. Because a year later, it still hasn't happened. However, I see a lot of new dialogs appearing for BIAB2024.
So, is it possible to make a separate chord playing dialog for preview chords? This dialog box, which doesn't have to be complicated, just displays
Previous bar <<< 1,2,3,4 >>> Next bar, then just use the mouse click to play the chord sound.
The "Previous bar" shortcut is left ← on the keyboard The "Next bar" shortcut is the direction right-click → on the keyboard
1,2,3,4 Four boxes Use the left mouse button to hear the chord preview sound.
This Chord playing dialog can be called the “Chord Preview”
maybe it's the translation but entering 4 chords in a bar is dead easy...........and always has been. can you be a bit more helpful as to what you think is a problem? i know this is partly a wishlist issue but starting from the premise that entering 4 chords is difficult is confusing.

I think it's a translation issue. AFAICS what he wants is a chord preview in each the four positions, e.g., click on the chord position to hear the chord.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. Kawai MP6, Korg M50, Ui24R, Saffire Pro 40. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11; Win8.1: Scarletts BIAB2022 UltraPAK, Reaper, a bunch of stuff.

I think the user doesn't want to have to enter beats one and two, then "Tab" to the other half of the cell and enter beats three and four. I may be mistaken. I think the user wants to enter text A,B,C,D without pressing the Tab key between A,B and C,D.
The poster can please clarify, but frankly, I've got bigger fish to fry.

if you're right audiotrack i'll help with the fish frying. the forum should be for help and advice not personal preferences of what individuals would like and what has been perfectly ok since BIAB started. sometimes 'wishlist' posts are helpful but not. i think, in this case
Well, everyone is right in some way. This request has been one of the most repeated over the past year, mostly but not limited to the Wishlist Forum. As I understand it, the request is to be able to enter chords equally in any of four beats in a measure (no comma, no tab), and to be able to preview the sound of each chord (currently possible for beats 2 and 4 only by workaround). Since this was not implemented in BIAB 2024, the impatience grows.
Actually, I support the request, under the assumption that whatever grid solves this would also allow the current subdivision of each beat that microchords already allows. I humbly offer a catch phrase for it: "All beats are equal".

Actually that part is implemented in 2024. Chord Settings <Alt><F5> Select any beat and press Preview:

Wouldn't the easiest way to solve the issue would be divide a bar into 4 rather than 2 ? Is there any reason it has to remain with 2 ? Is typing , and both chords the best way ? Do any other software have the same chord entry method ? Would it screw everything else up changing it to 4 beats causing other things to no longer work ?
OR would this be an easy way to solve many issues like being able to preview each chord easily ? allow selection by bar or beat in the chord sheet ?
If it moves to RealTimeSignatures eventually wouldn't you need this method ?
Maybe have this as setting that can by chosen by the user for their preferred method ?

With BIAB 2024 (1106), you can do this way: Select any bar. Select any beat, enter chord, click next beat or current selected beat.

Therefore, can it be designed so that chord sounds can be made by directly clicking 1, 2, 3, and 4? Instead of having to click 1, 2, 3, 4 first, and then click preview to make the chord sound.
A simpler way is, can each bar itself be able to input four chords?
If you follow the method of With BIAB 2024 (1106), it will be very troublesome and often cause trouble.

You do not need to click 'Preview' button, just click beat number. For example: Select bar 2. click beat 1 enter 'C', click beat 2 enter 'Am', click beat 3 enter 'F', click beat 4 enter 'C', click beat 4 or next bar.
* I agree this is not a convenience way to entry the cord. Four cells to enter the chord is better.

Oh yes, thanks. I still consider that a workaround, since Shift+Enter only works in the chordsheet on beats 1 and 3. Make all beats equal by giving each beat equal function with four beats showing per measure, then support four microchords in each beat.

That's right.
At the moment, the BIAB staff is not involved in the discussions, and I think it will be difficult to achieve.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
