Can anyone confirm if latest versions of Reaper and BIAB vst are working correctly?
Generation does not work correctly.
I can never get the empty blue boxes to fill: click generate, generation says done in x secs, but no filled blue box, and flashing small square remains.
I have tried on 2 machines, tried rebuild etc, checked paths etc.
When installing did I need to tick the install as fx only option eg for audacity?
Spent 2 days on this and thinking of ugrading but need to get this working before upgrading from Pro 2024 to something bigger.
Rumor has it that the VST3 is broken and that you should be trying the VST2 as the driver. But I can't confirm if that works. The bigger problem is know what to do and what to expect in the operation of the BIAB VST in Reaper. Until a Boot Camp video is avialable it is anyones guess. But you should have come here before you wasted two days...
I'm not a BIAB VST expert. This morning after reading your post, though, I started playing around with. It's been working for me. I created a new chordsheet from scratch, selected and loaded a style and then generated. The time after generating, it didn't play when I click "Play" on the 'generation is complete' message. Then I click the play arrow at the top of the window. The chordsheet regenerated and then playing commenced. Since then, everything seems to have been working. I've also loaded an existing song I wrote in BIAB and it played fine.
I did find the send function but that only sent 4 of the 5 tracks, oddly the one that was not sent was a track with a solid square and I could not get it to transfer.
I am using the vst3i.
I'm wondering if it was because I edited the style? The bass wont transfer and the drums only has a crash.
For some reason, the generation is now causing the squares to fill in.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
