Scott, this is a super tune! Beautiful harmonic journey. The arrangement is very ethereal and a great pairing for the lyrics. Nice vocals and guitar work, too. The brief melodic figure at the end makes a nice coda. Sounded like a synth or FX-heavy guitar? Really love the stuff you and Robert are doing!

An other worldly sound and an almost ghostly vocal. Weirdly wonderful, Scott and Robert.

Scott / Robert,
What a great sounding ethereal folk song. It has such an epic feel to both the lyrics and instrumentation. Love Robert's mysterious vocal and Scott's wonderful guitar work.
I always enjoy your music - great stuff!

Another winner from Scott / Robert Scott's guitar really compliments Robert's almost ghostly like vocal. Great harmony. Sweet tone on that axe Scott. Great mix also.

Was so happy when Robert suggested we do one of his folk songs. yes the ending I incorporated a feedback effect on the last note of the song. Kind of felt like it was escaping into the either. Really glad you liked the song.

Hi Scott and Robert,
Very nice video and composition. It's well constructed. The harmony is gentle and combines mercifully with the images. What software do you use for video? In any case, it's a great achievement. I really enjoyed it.

Hi Scott,
I guess we had to warm up a little bit for this song.... .Until we got to the chorus! Beautiful, dark and atmospheric like only Robert can sing them. Complemented by Scott's wonderful, melodic guitar!

The dry guitar intro is beautiful. There is fragility in the voice and it works well. Laurent

Lovely song, lyrically and musically. I like that guitar break. Good video, too.

Lovely ballad, music is a beautiful painting and the poetic lyrics tell a story that has somehow quite a sad undertone. The intriguing chord progression and Robert's expressive vocal and harmonies create a unique world where Scott's guitar sounds like that foggy ferry. Spirit Level is not just music, it is a place in our souls.

Mesmerizing, ghostly, surreal atmosphere, which is mainly created by your vocals. You would have been an interesting vocal addition to Pink Floyd, Scott.

Love the vibe, very easy on the ears. I really liked how the acoustic guitars sound panned L and R, especially in the beginning.

Scott and Robert,
It's a very beautiful song. The lyrics are also really great. Robert is truly a poet. The electric guitar support is also perfect for this song. I'm also very attracted to this video. Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.
Best regards.

Scott and Robert, this dreamy ethereal composition is really good. I like the lyrics and delivery as well as the complimentary tasteful guitar parts. I have the S to S highway on my list of places to visit and it may have now moved up a couple of notches. I enjoyed my listen,Tom

This is such a dreamy song, in every aspect, Scott, and your guitar makes it magical.
The melancholy feel in the lyric is supported perfectly by your production and the video is lovely.
This line stood out as special for Janice:
“from foggy ferry to eagle`s eyrie I walk from blue to blue your pearl in my pocket wearing through”
You and Robert are on a roll!

Hi Scott and Robbert,
I also heard it on YouTube some days earlier. What a wonderful song! Such a nice melody and sensitive in every way (singing, solo, video) but sad too. I enjoyed it a lot, and that counts for many of your songs! But the beautiful lyrics are often (still) a challenge for me to read without help...

Scott & Robert,
Robert's lyrics always have a magical fairy-tale quality to them. Super backing tracks - a perfect BAND for the song. Lovely vocals and harmonies. Good mix. Scott's lead has a wonderful delicacy to it.
Very nice video. A very good listen

This is such a lovely song and video! The melody and chord structure have a magical quality to them! Once again Robert has shown his lyrical prowess....I wish I could come up with word pictures like this! Scott your guitar parts coming in and out are such a great compliment to the song! Great work all around! Take care, TB

Thank you Floyd, Torrey and Dave. I am really glad you liked this. Awhile back I asked Robert if we could start doing some of his folk songs and poems. I think they make great soft rock tunes and an excellent way to tell his stories in his lyrics..

Folk type song, but you two still achieve an other worldly sound. Your guitar meshes well with the vocal. Fantastic lyrics.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
