Hello!

I have version 12 for Mac. I think its very basic from what i hear. But i dont need much fanciness, just use BIAB to practice.

1. I have one file with all V7's going circle of 5ths. I would like to do a Save as file and turn all the V7's into say, V7#9. Is it possible to convert all the chords in one swoop? Or must I enter them one by one?

2. Is there anywaher i can find a bunch of ready made ii v i and other progressions?

3. What about jazz standards ready to go?

4. Is there a random chord generator?

thank you !

Sebastian

1. "Edit / Chords-Search and Replace" is the ticket. Not sure whether that's available with the Mac version, though.
2. Lot's of 'ii v i'-s come with the Windows version.
3. You'll find a lot of standards on the BiaB Yahoogroups and on user web sites, such as the sites by Allanah and Wes.
4. White or pink noise? The melodist provides a nifty tool for coming up with sensible 'random' progressions.

Hello
I am Cyril (14) and my Dad just offered me Band in box for my PC: French version 2007. Who can explain me the process to record the music I make with my guitar and my microphone?
I work wiht EDIROL 66 FA connecting hardware.

When I record my music, I automatically hear the preformated "accords" computed in the software. How can I do to hear ONLY the music I record?

thanks,

Cyril

You can mute any channel, including all of the MIDI generated channels, leaving just the one audio channel. Right-click on the radio button for each instrument and you will see the option to mute. I could be more specific if you told us what version of BIAB you have, and for what platform - PC or Mac. It might also be solved by using the mixer for your soundcard, depending on what soundcard that is.

For more than one audio track to record yourself, Real Band would work well.

And - Welcome to the forum. In the future, it would probably be better to start a new thread with a new question such as this. Good luck!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
