Hi All, Here's another song that I wrote many years ago and have now finally recorded. This is called WAVED GOODBYE. I felt a little uneasy on 14th Street Out of place and off my feet Call it fear call it paranoid Waved goodbye to the upstate skies The Woodstock crowd and all it implies Through it all I guess I just needed you Just give me a weekend every now and then Let me trade the pigeons for the wrens Play me some Levon so that I can breath And meet me on the mountain of my dreams Well I’ve seen the sun rise on the Hudson Bridge And i've seen it set on Overlook Ridge But I always keep my horizon set on you When the night falls down and the stars light up And the zombies let loose from the all night clubs It'll be ok cause i'm standing there with you Just give me a weekend every now and then Let me trade the pigeons for the wrens Play me some Levon so that I can breath And meet me on the mountain of my dreams Waved goodbye to the upstate skies I’m with the Chelsea crowd and all it implies Through it all I guess I just needed you BIAB Tracks: 2474: Bass, Acoustic, Held 085 2505: Piano, Electric, HeldChords 085 0365: Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking 085 2364: Synth, ElectroFlutes, Rhythm 085 3100: Organ, MIDI SuperTracks Rhythm 060 RealDrums: MalletsFolk16ths As always - thanks for listening! That's real good writing . Very cool vulnerable vocal that fits the song . I'm not hip on AI or band in a box . But production is nice on what your doing

Bob, what a fantastic write! You vocal was perfect for this song. Really fantastic lyrics. you are a wordsmith for sure. Great backing band and mix.

Brilliant instrumentation, arrangement and mix on this one, Bob. Very much enjoyed the listen.

I still love this minimalist and fragile side of the song on poetic texts. It's the opposite of our times: Fortunately Laurent

I don't have the words to say how good this is. One of your very best, that is not in doubt. Any more words from me would just not do it justice. Bravo.

Hi, Bob. Nice write - you give a feel of "place" very well, along with a handful of memories and feelings. Intimate vocals and arrangement. Good to hear you finally got this one finished!

Every song you write is so well written, and this one really sits at the top. Maybe that's because it's the one I'm listening to at the moment, but this is terrific, Bob. Outstadning lyrics and a very engaging presentation. Your vocals always brings in the listener for a comfortable feel to an interesting tale or a thoughtful look at what's important in life.

Bob...that was gentle on my mind (to quote Glenn)...great story telling! very engaging and peaceful...I loved the synth flutes...they added a gentle, ethereal feeling...super writing as usual...some old songs need to age like fine wine before you pop the cork on them...very nice!

Bob, gee, your songs are sometimes so intimate I feel like I'm eavesdropping on a private thought. Really nicely crafted song, sensitively sung and expertly mixed. I'll mention the organ (?) that comes in before the flute at about the 1/3 point. Subtle touches like that add a lot of interest and dynamic support without being a distraction. You're really great at that, too. Enjoyed this!

I've said it before but yeah... I really like your lyrical writing ability. Nice stuff.
This started playing after another person;s song and while I was replying to them.... I was listening to this. I said man, that sounds like RS....
Totally enjoyed it.

Hi Bob. Your singer songwriter story telling skills and super expressive plaintive voice are a wonderful match. I love all your outings and this is no exception. Great.

Great song Bob! Another great use of storytelling!
Hey I have a question about the epic life cycle story of Bob Dean.
What was the inciting incident that happened in New York City when it occurred to you that you'd made a huge mistake leaving Woodstock and going to Chelsea that made you turn around and get in your Woody station wagon and leave all of the Andy Warhol and Nico wannabes behind and drive all the way back to Woodstock?
Are you going to save that for your autobiography or is that going to be coming up soon in your song cycle?
🙂

Beautiful poetry once again, nice wistful mood, great lines like "zombies let loose..." and "...pigeons for the wrens". And the conclusive line "Through it all I guess I just needed you"
Great peaceful band. ElectroFlutes is an excellent choice for the mood and used effectively.
And your emotional vocal makes the story feel very real.
