It usually is released around mid to late May. It has been very quiet at PGM recently i imagine they are coding it now.

No announcement yet, but there are certainly whispers that it's nearing completion.

I’m dying to get my hands on it. I had 2024 for windows but I stopped using the PC. There were several things that were really nice in it.

I discovered Band in the Box via a YouTube video. I use a Mac, but I'm surprised that there is already a 2024 version for Windows, but a 2023 version for Mac in mid-2024. To me it looks like the product manufacturer is not very interested in supporting the platform or may even discontinue the product for this platform. Under these conditions, I will not spend any money and will look for an alternative.

PG Music is not some monstrous company like Google. Windows version comes first, then around 6 months later the Mac version. Had you read Simon's post from PG Music you would know that the 2024 version for the Mac is coming along. As for an alternative to Band in a Box, best of luck with that, you are going to be very disappointed.

This is a lot later than usual. I hope there isnt a problem Over the last few years, the Mac release has on average been May or June. This is a bit later than the previous average of April, likely due to how rapidly and significantly the core architecture of macOS has changed in recent years. Compare this to Windows which can still run applications from decades ago. As for an alternative to Band in a Box, best of luck with that, you are going to be very disappointed. That's true. We're a very small company, with a programming team of only 4 or 5 people. Rather than splitting the development team up, we program the Windows version first then port the new code over to the Mac version. Please be assured that we will not be discontinuing the Mac version.

You Any word yet? Really champing on the bit to upgrade! I’m trying hard to resist just getting the Mac 23 version, have some unfinished projects I want to work on. You may want to speak with PG Music Sales by telephone or Chat. In the past PG Music has allowed people to upgrade to a new release for free when the purchase is made within 30 days of the new release.

Yes, I have been bugging them! No official word on whether we’re within 30 days yet.
But another thing is I’ve been told there would be some discounts offered when the new version is released so I’m also holding off for that. I want to upgrade to the audiophile edition.
