I just got BiaB Win2024. About a week.
I'm looking into making songs with melodist then using SynthV to make scratch vocals and into Cubase for finishing touches. It might work well, but it's difficult to navigate the melodist, and I'm still not sure about the styles being applied. I worry that too much style gets applied. Put on a Joplin style, and there's no getting away from it. It sounds like Joplin alright.
So far I'm just messing around with BiaB, and I haven't made anything I want to keep, but it's fun anyways. It might be too much of a distraction if I can't find the sound I'm looking for though. I was hoping for a shortcut. So far it's not that at all. Learning curve, or not for me? I'm still not sure.
I wouldn't use MelodyStudio, as it is subscription based, and Melodist will make you a song and help with melodies. From the melodies I have made, they would need tweaking to get singable lines.
I don't think there is a way to match melody lines to lyrics, but just manipulate lyrics to fit, or generate a new melody.
These are my thoughts as a new user. Not knowing a damn thing.
