I've lurked here off and on, but just joined. I was able to post a comment on a User Showcase thread. But I also tried to comment on two other threads in the recording and music theory sections, and I got messages that these were "fully moderated" sub-forums, and that my posts would have to be reviewed by a moderator before posting. That was yesterday, and these posts are still not posted.
Could anyone help me understand? I did not see anything about this in the forum rules or FAQs. Is this just something they do with new accounts, to cut down on spam? In one of my (attempted) posts, I did link to a friend's song, which might run afoul of the rules. But the other post had nothing that could be objectionable. Any info would be appreciated. I like the community here, and would like to be able to participate. Thanks!

I think after you get so many posts it lets you post immediately. This keeps the spamming to a minimum.
In addition, this is a self policing group. When spammers do manage to get passed the filters folks here report it to the admins who are pretty quick responding.
