Hi Everyone! This is a great forum. Here's an original song I did in BB/RB. Hope you enjoy it - thanks for listening. Bob http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9527244

Yes, It is a great forum. I like your song, your voice surely have potential, however in order to give your voice justice my advice would be that you need to focus much more on timing and variations in your song, and last but absolutely not least with the mix itself. That sax sounded funny at times.
Just my 2 cents
Thanks for sharing.
Best Jan

Jan, thanks for listening. I agree with your comments. I am really looking forward to bettering my production skills with BIAB. It's an absolutely great tool for all of us aspiring singer/songwriters.

Bob, I agree with Jan and I like your attitude! We all start like this; that is put up our songs and listen to the constructive criticisms. It has helped me tremendously.
With a little tweaking this will be a killer song.

Exactly. I agree, Bob, be sure you always will find here a word of encouragement, an advise in the right moment, and positive criticism. If you are willing to accept it then you got a key to grow musicaly in the same as we will learn of you. Ah..despite any technical thing, I liked your song. Welcome to board.
cheers

Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement. I'm planning to rework the arrangement, etc. over the weekend.

Hello Bob While I agree with all the comments above, I would like to tell you that your voice sounds great (guess that's a personal thing). I think you've got a nice timbre there and I kind of like the "sloppyness" in your singing (if not overdone). Reminds me of Bob (!) Dylan. Quite strongly so. I also like the power behind it. No whispering there. Keep it up. With proper recording and mixing technique and a good arrangement I'm sure you'll get beautiful songs. Looking forward to hearing some more of you. Daniel

Interesting comments about vocals. Many of us are musicians... somewhat fewer of us are vocalists. Yet, as home recording enthusiasts we try to do it all, learning as we go.
The recurring theme in comments about vocals is the need for confidence and projection. Trying to sing quietly just doesn't yield the same results. This seems even more important than the ability to sing on pitch. If you sing with conviction, TCHelicon can fix the bad notes... but pitch correction can't fix projection problems.
There is also something to be said for having a unique singing style (a-la Bob Dylan or Tom Petty, both of whom are marginal at singing on pitch, but whose delivery and verve more than compensate. )
I enjoy hearing the songs offered up by forum members, and also I enjoy hearing the helpful comments made from the sidelines. This is not only a great software suite, the forum adds even more value, ultimately bringing everyone to a higher level of achievement than any one of us would have accomplished alone.
Thanks to PGMusic and to all the helpful forum members!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
