It seems to me that BB styles are from the past. Really great if you're trying to make music that rests on the classic styles from the past.
However, and most recently, in this past year for example, I have had a difficult time finding styles that matched the song I was trying to work on. Nothing, literally nothing was working well. I ended up having to go a totally different route in several of those cases in order to keep the vibe and groove of the song intact.
I'd like to see more styles like: Singer/Songwriter, INDY rock, and modern country styles. A lot of the compatibility problems dealt with the rhythm and the groove.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

+1 but there also needs to be some way of finding similar sounding styles by using a source sound sample, same for an RT or RD.

+1 for both, the suggested new styles and the searching by sound.
You might want to post this in the Styles Wishlist Forum, a few below this one, where it could perhaps better get the attention of Tobin. Provide links to the songs you are having trouble emulating.

It occurs to me that because BIAB now has a stem splitter, the ability to isolate a drum beat for example is the first step toward adding a function to compare that drum beat with an existing RealDrum pattern. That would be a giant step for the folks who use BIAB to do cover songs. Imagine if BIAB said, "This RealDrum is a 72% match to the feel of your sample. This other one is 68%. Click on the Audition button to do an A-B comparison. Use the slider to vary the importance of the match for bass drum". Etc.

Modern styles need modern RealTracks and modern RealDrums, but I'm 100% with you. But I wouldn't limit it to certain styles, indie rock, pop, whatever has changed a lot. Anyway, +1
