Idea is great +1 There was a lot of conversations about this. I came to this conclusion:
It's a bit complicated. Traditional arrangers (including the one you mentioned) in most cases are MIDI and newer ones have some audio. But the audio parts of the newer arrangers are "fixed". Meaning, you can transpose them somewhat, but they will sound same.
BIAB on the other hand has a kind of algorithmic randomizer. With different takes of same chording. You can have different variations of same sections generated. What I am saying, even if it is technically "possible", it doesn't mean that those random generated parts will sound their "best". It's like a lottery. Also the next time same composition might sound different.
The only likely way arranger is possible if PGM makes a new format for "styles" and manually selects segments for arranger parts, which they think will sound best for you, removing everything else. So basically it acts as a giant rompler, instead of generative software. Using existing method "as is" will cause if not technical, but musical inconsistencies.
I rarely (never) keep the first generation BIAB suggests. From experience, there are usually much better takes for certain parts if one is willing to give it some time.
P.S. If you have not used it yet, please explore the feature called "Partial regeneration" on any song that has Real Tracks, and you will see that some generations for parts will sound better than others. Arranger will not know that. Only you will.
I hope that makes sense.

+1 When I created up scripts in Reaper it would just "randomly" pull out the same chord sections from the source files and put them together to match your progression. I think with Biab things are already mapped out in the ST2 XT2 for what type of playing can be used where rather than just randomly pulling out any sections from all of the source files. I think there is enough intelligence in Biab to make this work. I showed this with using the current version of the BB Plugin/Plugin Standalone how the sections can be pre made up to suite. I showed how Biab can play the rhythm tracks and the user can play an instrument with the right hand of the keyboard using vsti or their keyboard's instrument.

The Plugin Standalone can have an Arranger Mode where more than 255 bar are given to allow more material, more sections rather than just A B (Blue Green), more endings than just one, different song section can have different RealTracks or just one track soloed, tempo can change on the fly, time signature change from one section to another, be able to save, open and play instantly without the need to generate. Example of what can be added to the BB Plugin Standalone ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=29789&filename=BB25-Chord-Region-Player.png)

musicity, It will play, I've seen your concept several times, but I don't think it has the "intelligence" to pick the "best" parts. And even if it does, It's best - might not be the right fit.
Concept is good, but given the variations within RTs... it has to be curated by whoever assembles the style for arranger, to try finding a "middle ground" and given the nature of output audio (artifacts, sometimes awkward chord connections) user should be able to still regenerate parts. Again, I think it's doable, but would require a lot of manual work re-tooling styles for some kind of "universal" fit.

If you can help out and make some up in Biab and save as frozen SGU that users can try if they have Reaper, you can make more than 255 bars if need be by creating another frozen SGU for other sections SGU can be imported using Working In Biab & Reaper Simultaneously and Instantly the section can be copied to a new project Tab and pasted one SGU after the other importing the chords and setting the region color of them, you can have multiple sections of the same chord, you can make up multiple 4-6 bar Endings using Holds then use Live Arranger Using The BB Plugin in Reaper (you don't need the BB Plugin if you are using frozen SGU's) See Video: Reaper-BBPluin-Song-Sections.mp4 You can enable mute buttons or drag the clip volume up/down when all selected ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=29715&filename=BB25-Plugin-Song-Sections.gif)

Thanks, but I will pass. Idea circulated quite a few times, with several big discussions and clearly some people want this. But, there was absolutely no hint that this will be considered by PGM.
While I admire your technical creativity, I can't commit.

But, there was absolutely no hint that this will be considered by PGM. I'm still yet to see a hint of anything that PGM considers that they will deliver. The 2025 release was no different. No? In my appraisal, it is most unusual for PGM to give hints. Period.
BIAB & RB2025 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones

While I admire your technical creativity, I can't commit. Thanks! We are also still working on direct-play for the plugin, which would be a big step for the plugin (all DAWS including Reaper). The Live Arranger idea is great, and hopefully applicable to many DAWS. It's easier to criticize ideas than come up with working examples, it's ok I'll do it all like usual. It better not be another one of those stories, where users complain about ideas then when it's released they are recommending it to other users. What do you want me to do? go home, ask yourself.

Mc, you already made a working concept. I am sure PGM aware that quite a few people would want arranger....
I dont think creating yet deeper concept will solve this. Only PGM knows what will happen and what will not. And even if you come up with a brilliant, somewhat working idea, its not the code they will use.
Again, I like the idea very much, 10 times better than AI lyrics, splitter and iOs app combined. But we get, what we get. Nagging usually only works if item is critical to operation.

Hey SR, welcome back! Personally, I think you've got stacks of great ideas to offer. Trev LOL, Ah those were the days when I didn't get a hard time, maybe because I did'nt know about Reaper then to mention it RDS (Reaper Derangement Syndrome) has caused many problems but has brought about so many ideas for Biab and BB Plugin, and maybe even RealBand... Point me to another DAW that can integrate with Biab, BB Plugin and RealBand and I'll be onto it making up scripts. Download this ReWireVST for Biab RealBand load it in Biab or RealBand and tell me what DAW can slave to it (look in the ReWire VST available DAW list, don't have any running when using so they will be available).
