Hi,

I need some new styles that I've never seen before on BIAB but that I know are possible.

1. Styles for certain classical composers (Bach is the place I want to start.)

2. A variety of styles specific to Ambient music. (Think Minecraft.)

3. Styles specific to under-scoring for Film, TV, and Stage.

Others as needed.

I am looking for 1-5 very experienced BIAB stylemakers.

I have $$$ to pay.

This gig is very interesting and has a residual/royalty component to it.

Thanks,

PS Please contact me via email address in my signature in addition to positing here.

I'm not sure it's advertising so much as soliciting. As far as I can see, soliciting is not expressly forbidden here.

At first, this started with a post in the Recording forum. I suggested it go into the Styles Wishlist forum. But now I really have no idea since $$$ is involved.

I actually would like a Bach style, but I cannot imagine how someone would do that.

I'm presuming that the intention is to create a Bach style from existing Real and MIDI tracks?

I suppose. I really have no idea. There is too much genius in Bach’s writing and it’s not always formulaic, so I doubt it can be done well. I hope someone proves me wrong.

For what it's worth, there is an Orchestral "Bach" midi style:

ORKBCH44.sty

on midi style disk #11 which includes other attempts at classical styles.

I did have a listen to the ORKBCH44.sty, and others.
My only comment is that it is the most mechanical sounding Bach I have ever heard. I can therefore see why newer styles could be beneficial.
