The church I attend has access to a 64- bit version of the TTS-1 Dxi. because the church's computer has a 64-bit version of Bandlab Calkwalk.
Though Bandlab no longer supports the TTS-1 (since Oct or November 2024) I think the TTS-1 is safe if we don't update Bandlab Calkwalk.
Is it still usable in BIAB or can Bandlab freeze its use? I understand that after a certain time in 2024 the Bandlab Calkwalk installation no longer provides any TTS-1. If anybody already has the TTS-1 and is using or intends to use it with BIAB is it safe/stable/usable/accessible within Calkwalk-providing no updates are done to the Calkwalk installation?
Is there a special way to excise and insolate the environment and files necessary for the TTS-1 64 bit to function in BIAB? I think with Bandlab Calkwalk the whole Calkwalk program is the operationg environment needed for the TTS-1 64-bit? Am I right about this or can some subset of the program be excerpted and isolated for jus using the TTS-1. Any answers to what I have asked?

Just did a test with TTS-1 DXI and it worked fine with BiaB 2025. Sorry, can't answer your other questions. I'm PRETTY sure (but not positive) that this was the only version that came with my 64-bit version of Cakewalk...

Updating Cakewalk by Bandlab does not affect a pre-existing install of TTS-1. Once TTS-1 is installed, TTS-1 remains installed until it is removed. I have the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab on this Windows 10 laptop and a Windows 11 desktop. TTS-1 works fine on both machines.
The TTS-1 soft synth works with any program that can use a DXi instrument. DXi and VSTi plugins were introduced at about the same time by Microsoft and Steinberg. The audio production community embraced the VST format while the DX format is used primarily in games. While Cakewalk by Bandlab and Band-in-a-Box can use DX plugins most other audio production programs can not.
The TTS-1 was built by Roland for Twelve Tone Systems to use with Sonar products. The TTS-1 is essentially the same product as a software product Roland distributed under another name called HyperCanvas. The differences are the color of the GUI, HyperCanvas was available as both a DX and VST plug-in and the TTS-1 installer is Twelve Tone Systems/Sonar/Cakewalk product dependent.
Roland quit support for the TTS-1 at the same time Roland quit support for HyperCanvas. Sonar offered to support the TTS-1 but Roland said no so the TTS-1 has not been supported for a few years. Last year Roland demanded Cakewalk quit providing the TTS-1 installer.
So if you have the TTS-1 it will continue to work. But you must install an older Twelve Tone Systems/Sonar/Cakewalk product that includes the installer for a new installation.
