I created a file on my Mac using 2023 with repeats and muted instrument using a midi style Sloarpbl. The format is expanded on both iPhone 15 and M1 iPad Pro. I can’t mute instruments on iPhone but I can on iPad. Notation is displayed. The rest pick up measure does mute the instruments except for the bass that has the pickup.

Interesting. Muting instruments works for me on my iPhone. Do the instruments turn red when you click the mute button?

The instrument does turn red. Notice that they mute only when there is visible notation. If the drum has no notation it will not mute. Using iPhone 15 pro max.

Did you by chance generate using the "Generate RealTracks (Server)" option? If so, that's why instruments can't be muted on the fly, you would have to generate again with the instrument muted - OR, preferably, generate using the "Generate MIDI (Local)" option, which allows for muting and volume changes on the fly.

Also noticed that if you try to save to your drive or cloud the app crashes on both iPhone 15 pro max and m1 iPad Pro. You can export so I don’t see the use for saving to file. It does save to local within the app.

It does save to local within the app. I wasn't able to duplicate that, either on my iPhone 12 Mini or my iPad Pro 10.5. What version of iOS are you using?
