Hello friends, I have just uploaded my newest song, "Sally and Bobby" on my website. All the backing instruments are Real Tracks, me and my guitar. Comments are welcome. Marty http://mgwitt.webplus.net/listen.htmlI have taken it down for a remix. Changes made: Pulled out some mids in the vocal, used a shorter reverb, and smoothed out the vocals and harmony. Comments are welcomed!

Hi Marty. This sounds great. I couldn't tell you how it compares with the first one, but this one sure sounds good man! I have some observations and thoughts beyond the sound of it- let me know if you care to know what they are. This is a fine song and sounds great. Nice job!
Btw- I know I've mentioned this before but I LOVE your listening page! I gotta admit, it's some of the fun listening to your music! Love those speakers! But seriously, I love a clean page. That would be my absolute page layout, provided I thought of it beofre you did...which I did not! LOL! It gets really tedious just navigating to listen to peoples music sometimes. That is a refreshing page. For that, I thank you sir.

Thanks for the review! I too love simple pages. Why make people have to search for songs just to listen to your personal music. I quickly grow tired of trying to figure how to get to a file on a web site.
Dan, My first mix was too processed so I fixed that. It seems after I converted the file to MP3 the reverb just jumped out at me. Go figure? My ears must have been tired when I mastered. I also changed a few words to improve the flow.
I love your material also, so keep up the good work!

You are way to kind! Thank you so much. I am working on a blues tune and hope to have it on line next week. I have just switched to Sonar 8.5 and the learning curve is beating me up! LOL. Too bad all the software people don't use the same language when describing features.

I love the song, but the only critique i could give is that to me the vocal, (which was awesome) was a bit to far out front in the mix real it back in a tad.

Hi Robh,
I agree about the vocals being too up front. I have now started using a reverb bus on all tracks and it seems all tracks set better in the mix. (still learning) Thanks for listening and thanks for the advice.

Another winner You are one talented musician. Great guitar chops man! Personally I like this blend. I do not think the vocal is too far out front. Loved the harmonies. Another two thumbs up.
