Well 11/11 at 11.00 saw me on the parade as usual. First year in about 20 one of my kids wasn't there, either as an army cadet, air cadet, Cavalry Trooper or Engineer. My son had my grandson there, he's 2 soon and he said to me, Fionn will be in a uniform here by grade 6. (1st year cadets, off to 3 week summer enlistment camp). Best deal going for parents. Free uniforms, free camps, training, bush weekends. My youngest boy flew off to Quebec on a military aircraft for 3 weeks twice the first summer, never even called home and he was 12.. Freaked his mom out. Not as bad as leaving for engineering technical trades one summer in New Brunswick for 3 months and never calling..LOL)
Thousands of people there today, the Sally Ann Brass Band was amazing, and it was like the middle of summer, temp was 60 and no clouds. Last Post, Piper Lament, and Rouse. (No Taps in Canada..thanks..) 83 Fire Department members on parade. 110 at work, 40 on vacation leaves about 160 active members 'missing' in action.
I went from there to my GP. He had the results of my CT scan. 1. No tumours, all gone. It is 3 pages to say complete resolution of rt. neck lymph node tumours. 2. Thickening of area near base of tongue, probable radiation scarring and damage, comparative scan at a future date to verify.
And, peripheral neuropathy is stable should not deteriorate further. Hearing stable, will not improve, should not worsen much except as is normal in aging.
I'd have a celebratory drink. Vernor's ginger ale.
If all stays well gastric feeding tube comes out at the end of next week. I see the 3 cancer specialists at a meeting next week, this is their preliminary report, I just got the sneak preview while getting my medications reviewed. I was just leaving the docs and my Dad walked in for a checkup.. he's 84, no health issues other than a sore hand caused by slapping his chair during a hockey game. Which he admits...
Now time for me to suck it up.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Indeed, this is the good news we've all been waiting for! You'll be back at the cabin with enough energy to run the chain saw again before long

Hi John,
That is wonderful news. You kicked it into touch by your positive outlook (even though you probably had moments of doubt)
May your "Lum aye reek"

Thanks everyone, and Daisy, you must live in the wrong town. Here there will be at least 4 places where you would hear that song. Ten years ago, in my 'youth' LOL, I would have been there for sure, singing along. One of my fav's was when they do Ten Drunken nights. When you get to the phrase..So I called the wife and I says to her, (pause and the guys yell) "Hey bi*&h", would you kindly tell to me...(pause and the women yell) "Wadda want a$$$ole." Who's head is that upon the bed, where my old head should be.... LOL.. I send you this link, it's too bad the Rankin Family doesn't do more, and it's tragic that John Allen Cameron died. He was sort of an East Coast folk music legend, like Stan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3z72sY5leI

YES! That is a great version -- rousing. Thanks for that.
And you are right, Naples is the "wrong town." Fortunately or otherwise, it will soon be under water, with the rise of the oceans, and I have been thinking of buying up some tropical beachfront property on the outskirts of Sherbrooke.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
