I always like songs about songs, and yours is no exception, Marty. I _slightly_ disagree with some lines (memories of the bad times also come alive in some songs and are also worth mentioning), but that's just my darker side showing. LOVE your vocals (I can hear the smile on your face), and your band sounds really good. 2 thumbs up Thanks for that suggestion, Brain. I thought of writing more about ALL kinds of songs, the good, the bad, even the polkas, but wanted to keep the song short. So i concentrated on the good stuff. Maybe my dark side could make a song about the bad times of our lives. Wow Marty...a fiddle and an acoustic guitar (it gives me chills)...I love it!...so, this is different and again shows the eclectic and muti-stylistic mind of a mad-man ( I mean genius of coarse)...I love the topic, the sentiment and the gist of the whole thing...so keep writing them, producing them and singing them for us...PLEASE! Cool, Dan. Glad it got to your chill center. Maybe a coarse madman would be a better moniker for this old dude. Still, ain't grumpy yet though. Seriously, thank you so much. Great song Marty and loved your choice of instruments. I thought the melody really shined and fit the words well. It drew me in right from the start - way to go.
Brad Thanks, Brad. You, sir, have written some really fine songs, and I'm glad you like this one. Really good idea ... a song about songs. Nicely sung, and backing track. Great mix and production Thanks, Elliott. Much appreciated.

"Sappy songs with sibilant sounds" splendid synopsis And "But the songs that still excite my soul are the ones I sing with you", you always find the right words. That fiddle has nice nostalgic vibe and together with the pleasant chord progression lights the fire and really excite my soul. And "Songs bring out the best of life", yes, music is the language we speak on this forum, telling more about us than any words. And memories of us live forever in these songs, they are not just 'some songs', they are 'The Songs' - the best times of our lives is spent here, I hope you agree Janne

Marty,
Excellent.
Fantastic lyrics, fantastic vocals, fantastic music, fantastic mix.
Wow. Nice.
Happy Easter, man. Frantastic comment, David. [Bet you knew I was gonna say that ] Happy everyday to you, and thanks for making our Easter a better one with your encouraging song about being kicked in the butt. [Now that's sounds like an odd comment.] I love the mix of video, music and lyrics. Some songs are good songs. Laurent Thanks, Laurent. Your song about Normandy instantly brought back good times for BeBe and me. “But the songs we sing in harmony are the ones we hold most dear.” Well, you guys were definitely on my mind when that lyric popped in. Yes! Harmony in life is precious. Your song brought back many memories for us and the video is most cool, especially the cameos.
The fiddle was great and the autoharp also fit the nostalgic mood.
The mix features the smooth vocal and fine supportive bass so well.
Love it!
J&B Thanks, you two who are one. Very cool you caught the nostalgic use of the autoharp. Hi, Marty. Nice write and production. And your vocals always add to the meaning. Sappy songs with sibilant sounds somehow ring more true.Ha! Thanks, David. Yeah, I'm old, hence the sibilance, and still in love, hence the sappy. I was never a singer, but now that I sing anyway, it seems like I'm just acting a part.

Marty, very creative indeed! The violin gave it a slight country vibe to my ears. Professionally done . . . as always. Great job. Thanks, Steve. In country we call them fiddles. HAHA This is just a brilliant, gorgeous song, Marty! Great lyrics, great music, and that fiddles was the perfect choice for the lead instrument. 5 Star music! … Love the video, too. Thank you, m'man Chay. One of your best, Marty. Laid back and really enjoyable. Bravo! Thanks, James. Laid back for sure. "Spendid synopsis" seemed somewhat silly. Still special. You're right about the songs on this forum and the folks that create them. I enjoy these songs more than any others.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
