Not Classic Country. Or Classic Rock. Or Jazz. Or Polka. Impossible! Make some music, for godsakes. Geez Floyd this put a grin on my face!
I love the way you explore the boundaries of BIAB and are not afraid to implement new sounds and techniques into your work! And by the way, when I try to do that sometimes it usually doesn't sound right, but you seem to make it work every time!
Once again your lyrics grab the listener and your vocal delivery holds that listener to stay with the song! Loved those echo effects, especially toward the end! Great job! Thanks, Torrey Thanks, Torrey (you push the boundaries with the best of 'em!!) kinda sounds like that music they play on the radio...especially the drums.... or is it a clap track? Cool tune. Modern country or something close to it. Thanks for stopping in for a listen, Herb...

Ok, I know you're a little green to this whole song writing thing, so I'll let this one slide. That being said, I do like to give unsolicited advice whenever I can.
That title stands out too much. You want a title that looks like a lot of other titles in your same genre...and we'll cover the whole genre issue in a minute. If you put 1000 song names in a list, yours is going to "catch the eye" and cause intrigue. That's not what you're looking for. People need something relatable. I noticed the first word of the first line of the song is "She." THAT should have been your title.
Now this whole genre thing. Music has genre's for a reason. That reason is, songs need to stay the same. Anything new or different must be judged against a genre to point out how "it's not the same as it used to be."
You need to understand that If it hasn't already been done, it was a bad idea. You didn't see the likes of Johnny Cash using all of these options and techniques that have been invented in the last few years, did you?
I normally know where a song is going so can turn it off fairly early into it. You know it's a good song if you can guess most of it before hearing much of it. Your song was kind of all over the place lyrically and instrumentally that I had to listen to all these little things popping up then going away, some returning. I mean, sure they sound good together but that doesn't mean they should be played together. In school, you have music class, and you have art class. Those classes are separate for a reason. There is to be NO art in music!
Speaking of art what's with the cover? The Beatles had the white album, Spinal Tap the Black Album...yours has like color and stuff. It made me stare at it a bit and think different things. I don't like thinking! In keeping with the "She" title, consider a black silhouette of a woman with maybe a sunset. That may be pushing it; but I'm trying to appease you a bit. White would be my preferred background.
I'm not even going to go into the those lyrics. Again, the idea is NOT to have the listener continue to have to listen. I won't go into the melody either. I mean, it's awful. It sticks in your head. Who wants that? I tried listening to other songs but "Cow...girl...Cinder-ella" keeps dominating my thoughts. Putting the power guitar behind it didn't help any either.
Production is for hiding mistakes. Just because I can't find any production errors doesn't mean you haven't made them. I would have to SEE what you are doing to know if it sounds right or not.
Anyway, I didn't mean to tear your song apart to show you how much better I could make it. I guess if I had to give you one piece of advice I would say, remember that music was never meant to be creative. It's about rules and adhering to them. Also, don't copy.
So, hang in there. Keep writing. I'll be here to help you think inside the box.

Maestro at work. Silence, everyone ... this is how it's done.
Yes; no labels ... just Floyd Jane.
You're one of those artists with which I both know what to expect (i.e. your own style, it always sounds Floyd Jane-like, no matter what or how you write) and never know what to expect. Excellent job - bravo.
P.S. HeartoLearn: just read your comment, am in stitches laughing! Superb :-) (just had to mention that!)

Now that's what I would call Progressive Country. I love the vocals with the echo, and the guitar solo is perfect!! Well Done!!!

This is one of my favorites from you. Enjoyed it from start to finish. Charlie - thanks for that very nice comment... Terrific song - solid arrangement and a wonderful vocal. The delay/reverb on the finger clicks is impressive as is the follow through handclap/snare substitute. Thanks, ray!!!

My goodness, Mr. Jane. You seem to have demonstrated in one little number that BIAB is a wonderful creative tool in the hands of a creative individual. Why, it's almost as if you have something to prove! And so quickly too! Oh dear. Adored the growly textures and sense of space. Fantastic stuff. Nice of you to say, Tangmo... Thanks!! Hi Floyd Jane,
Nice original introduction. Reverb and echo are used perfectly. Nice choice in realtracks. Your lyrics make us dream because the mystery of love has always attracted us. The mix is superb to put your voice in value. Nice work. I appreciated.
Kindly regard Derochette alias JaniJackFlash Thanks, Derochette.... Floyd,
How can one not listen to a song called “Cowgirl Cinderella”? Great title. BIAB is indeed a miracle software, but some of us have a knack for making more miracles than others. What an impressive production on this—masterful! And creative as well—the claps, the stops, the panning, the selective delays, that heavy metal rhythm cutting in. All that makes for an outstanding tune! Killer stuff!
My very humble regards,
Deej Really appreciate that, Deej...

FJ. your an excellent storyteller via your lyrics. excellent subtle vocal doubles in the right places. best to you om Thanks, om... What about make some crazy? Are we allowed to do that too man? Anyway, this is a cool tune tune brother, and the arrangement is fresh. Fresher than than Fresh Prince. You done good buddy. Thanks, buddy.... Hi Floyd,
I read all the posts on this song first before listen to it. I thought, wow, you must have made a hell of a song. and then I listened...
And, yes! You made a hell of a song, man! You went up with your vocals and that was a great thing to do. Very nice indeed!
What more is there to say that has not already been said? Well..., how did you get her name? "call me" in lipstick on a seagrams bar coaster no name no number three x's and an o.
Enjoyed it a lot,
Hans Thanks, Hans.... I call it a fine recording. Very clever theme. Great lyrics and storyline. Great melody lines. Outstanding use of the band. Top notch work here.
"BIAB is miracle software."
No doubt about it. Thanks, jpt3.... I don't care what genre you place this song in this is another outstanding song from the virtuoso Floyd.
Great vocal, great lyrics, great everything.
You are a master at picking the right RTs, MIDI, and loops that highlight your vocals.
Another winner. Thanks, Mario.... Hi Floyd. Clever lyrics and excellent vocals, as always. Nice to see you shaking it up a little. I like this one a lot and see no need to affix a label. Regards, Leon Thanks, Leon.... Very different and very cool Floyd. Just love this tune. The finger clicks were a very cool add. Well done Thanks, Scott....

This is exceptional lyric writing. Your lyrics are always good, but this is on another plane.
Different musical direction---sounds good. Is this the new modern country? Nice of you to say, Scott. Not sure if I would actually label this "country", but I am working to get more "current-sounding" production. That umbrella is huge, actually, regardless of the genre - so many people creating music in new and different ways - things seldom sound the same from one song to the next.... Hi Floyd,
Absolutely stunning track!!! Probably one of the best I've heard from you. I like a lot how you have implemented the different instruments and the way your mix turned out. Pro stuff!
Can't wait for the next song you make! High expectations here! ;-)
Will Thanks, Will. I appreciate that.... What a cool arrangement, fj! Mesmerizing. This has the Tyminski feel all over it, including the excellent vocals.
Janice was singing along almost immediately, commenting again on her love of your phrasing as well as the prosody of your lyric. As she said, "just listen to how well these words sing: searching for an angel with the devil in her eye!"
The imagery is so good that we felt like we were watching a video, seeing little glimpses of the girl here and there.
And always an outstanding mix!
Yep, BiaB is miracle software . . especially in the hands of someone with your talent.
Excellent!
J&B
P.S. We love the artwork too.
Tyminski was largely responsible for "opening my eyes" to new possibilities. And there have been a lot of rabbit holes since then...some of those go in weird directions, but the journey has been a hoot! Fun song, Floyd. I was hooked by the guitar effect on the eight bar intro. You make it sound so easy ! Thanks, ed.... Hi floyd! When I heard this arrangement and its production, the first thing I thought of was... You raised the bar to Olympic heights with this presentation. It truly is remarkable, creative and entertaining. I love everything that you've done. Just awesome, Noel Always pleased to see you drop into a thread, Noel... Hope all is well on your side of this big spinning ball.... Hi Floyd,
You've really blended a few of unusual elements together, by that I mean the Bass, Synth, CloudRapSub with the other instruments. It sounds unexpectedly good with the rest of your arrangement. As usual your vocals and other instruments played are great. Good sounding tune man! Thanks, Bawb. Great to see you back. I was wondering what became of you....
