Tommy - I've never been a jammer - except maybe with my harp on blues numbers. But I liked this for the reasons others mentioned - clean, groove +1.
Here's an idea if you're looking for a hook and don't play - use the BIAB MIDI melodists and soloists feature
- you can define your bars and keep rolling those notes until you get something you like, which a real saxophonist could play - it's a great feature with more flexibility than using RTs . . . . .at least to help you create the hook riff, or whatever you define as a "hook".

Your saxophonist will probably have his own idea once he hears the tune.
