I own the TCHelicon stompbox. Is there also a software plugin for BIAB? If so, is it included in 2012? Thanks!

Well.. let me rephrase that. There IS an integrated audio harmony feature that is driven by TCHelicon's engine. I don't think it shows up in the list of other plugins, however.

It's been included for a while now, but I'm not sure when it was first introduced. I'm not at my music PC at the moment, so I can't tell you how to access it. Last time I wanted to mess with it, I had a hard time finding it. Somebody else may want to chime in with step by step clickpath to the dialog box that initializes the TCHelicon harmonies.

Most people like the stomp box better. But the advantage of using an audio feature instead of a physical device when recording is that you can keep messing with copies of the track until you get what you want. Once you record directly from a device, whatcha got is whatcha got... you can never go back to a clean signal and start over unless you re-record it clean.

UPDATE:
in BIAB you can access the TCHelicon audio harmonizer from the main dropdown menu as follows:
HARMONY > AUDIO HARMONIES AND PITCH TRACKING

(if there is no audio in the project, TCHelicon won't open)

From Real Band it is accessed from the main menu as follows:
TRACK > ACCESS AUDIO (VOCAL) HARMONY

you'll have to play with the settings to learn how to get the best results. Practice on a copy of a track so you can start over if your results aren't what you wanted
