Almost always when I hear a reel, at some point in the song my mind automatically inserts the words from the theme to Gilligan's Island. But this time it didn't, and I'm thinking that's probably a good thing.

Your song reminds me of a lot of the celtic-story music that comes out of Cape Breton. Even without a lilt, Your voice is a natural for the style (for any style really, how I envy your singing ability)

The lyrics sound authentic, as though you had discovered them in a european song archive... and the story itself is entertaining.

The tempo of the drum caught my attention immediately and drew me in... but by the end of the song it's relentless pace left me wishing you had changed it up at some point to let me catch my breath.

All in all, this song goes in the folder with so many other songs from this forum that are rubber stamped with the words "DANG! WISH I HAD WRITTEN THAT!"

Good job, Bob!
