There are some incredibly beautiful things here (Tahoe, Yosemite, San Francisco, the north coast, the wine country) but there are huge crowds, high crime, a lot of hot, flat ugly terrain, a LOT of poverty, and a government that doesn't work. Still, when I hear "California" in a song, I default to the romantic notion. Your take was about a whole different aspect of California, and you pulled it off beautifully. Great work!! Take care. Thanks for listening. Actually, I was not a 'visitor' - I lived in SoCal for 15 years, and miss it still, even though I haven't been there in 30 years. Part of me still longs to return, but I want to remember it as it was in 1970. It was a paradise back then.
