EDIT: I will mention Reaper with Video
It was too jerky for me playing HD videos but it may work ok for you.
With Reaper closed install ffmpeg
EDIT: It was Jerky as I never had the ffmpeg installed on that PC.
So download
64bit zip https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win64/shared/
32bit zip https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/shared/
In the Bin folder copy the 8 dll files
In Reaper > Options Menu > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder
Close Reaper
Paste the 8 dll files into UserPlugins
Start Reaper

Add FX Video processor > Drop down > Item fades effect video.
When you have your tracks aligned by the waveform to sync,
enable track Lock > right click check/tick Prevent left/right movement.
Turn the volume all the way down on each video track you don't need.
View > Video window (Ctrl+Shift+V)
Any Fades you add make sure the only track under the Fade is the one you are fading to/from, same in Resolve.
File > Render > Set To Video ffmpeg > mp4.
You should get something like this: Dropbox Good-Time-Reaper.mp4

EDIT: I tried Reaper on the other PC and it was fine with HD Videos.
Dropbox Reaper-Multicam-Mix.mp4
