Jim is correct. In earlier versions of BIAB when Realtracks were growing, there was a different system used and this took up much more space. I'm not sure that this is what you're experiencing, though.

If the files are on the USB drive that came from PG Music, the above does not apply and I'd leave them there.

The PG Music USB drive for the Audiophile edition of BIAB also has compressed versions of all the audio files on it. These allow a user to install the equivalent of the EverythingPak or UltraPlusPak on their computer's hard drive if they want to. That's how I run BIAB.

On my internal hard drive, I've used the USB drive setup routine to install the compressed files. I use these most of the time. Then when I start creating a song seriously, I connect the USB drive and work with that until the song is done.

I suspect that what your computer is referring to is these compressed files.

If the above is the case, I wouldn't delete them.
