Dear "sixchannel"...

Here I am, not an overtly "religious" person, but aware of the presence of a Creator, nonetheless, and listening to your BIAB rendition of a Christmas carol, "In The Bleak Midwinter". And I realize suddenly that the music is awakening a spiritual response in me that is strong enough to cause me recall a biblical passage: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

This is an exquisite piece of music that shows off the potential of Band-in-a-Box's orchestral styles, which I have not used. It possesses and expresses all of the seasonal nostalgia of its title along with enough melancholy to bring out the seeming indifference of our Mother Nature as parts of her die a just little bit during her winter sleep.

For an instrumental piece, this song is filled to the brim with all of the emotion that lyrics typically deliver.

Moved,

LOREN
