In MIDI mode, BiaB has no sounds of its own. It creates MIDI 'notes' and sends the 'notes' to the MIDI instrument of your choice. This could be an electronic keyboard, or any of hundreds of software synthesizers. The program comes with a very good software synth called 'Coyote.'

The problem is that BiaB has to be told to connect to whichever synth you choose. This can get tricky.

I always suggest that new users contact PG Music tech support to get set up the first time. They have seen a zillion different setups and can get you running quickly. A plus is that you will find out that the PG Techs are friendly, patient and very good at what they do.

The same goes for Matt. His advice is always spot on.
