Also, don't look past PG's midi manipulators - some of the best out there. If I recall correctly, PowerTracks ProAudio had a sort of Midi 'compressor' for velocity information. It would leave the midi velocity untouched below a certain threshold, then ratio-multiply the velocity above the threshold.

Those midi filters in PTPA were something I missed when I migrated away from PTPA about 10-15 years ago, and had to use some of these add-on tools to gain the features in the DAW I migrated to.

Tobybear used to have a huge collection of midi tools, but it seems you can't preview them now without downloading a zip file.
