Both... In concerts there is usually some great distance between the you & the musicians... I've been in clubs & beer joints where those same musicians showed up to perform their magic within 10 to 20 feet from where I sat sipping a beer... years later, after I started playing beer joints, I realized when I finished playing our last set, at 2 am I packed up & went home but I couldn't go to sleep... I was keyed up & ready to pick so more, its the nature of the beast I guess... so in retrospect I figure they must have faced the same problem & solved it... much to my fortunate delight.
