David Snyder Veteran Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 7,796 North Carolina	DSK Overture the VST is free, it is the many copyright free samples on the right that cost $25. You don't need those. DSK overture is not bad. It allows you to layer up to 4 instruments in one instance and control volumes and pans of all four, so you get to create your own orchestral synth, customized, sort of. I can see myself experimenting with it some. At worse case, you have a free Rick Wakeman synth to play around with and that's not bad. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
