Dear Shigeki & Mr. Sperrazzo...

You two, talented musicians are keeping alive the somewhat submerged tradition of "BBB" -- big band ballads!

As usual, Shigeki, your arrangement and orchestration of "When I Dance with You" is so silky in its instrumental textures, and swings so elegantly that anyone would think you had studied under Basie, or Sammy Nestico.

Mr. Sperrazzo, your singing of your own inspired lyrics for Shigeki's luxurious melody is youthful-sounding, appealing, and so clearly vocalized that a listener would feel as though they were an audience of one.

Shigeki, whoever it is that sings the song in Japanese is quite emotive and expressive in his own way. Please communicate that to him, won't you? In fact, it would be great to watch both of them in a video taking turns singing verses alternately in Japanese and English. I think that would be a quite a crowd-pleaser.

This is classy, danceable big-band jazz music. Thanks for the memories, gentlemen!

Sincerely,

LOREN (a.k.a. "bluage")
