Thanks Deryk,Joe
The RealTracks were brilliant and the volumes (a simple one) were hard to get right and the lenght of time I gave each instrument in the limelight was difficult to gauge ,enough time was needed to enjoy the part and not too much that you would get disinterested in the overall journey.I also wanted to protray the "Chaos" and "excitment" of the wildwest by building up before it comes back down again.
I think I gave the ghostly sound at the start by filtering the realtrack(held piano) through a vocal plugin(Nectar2).So I had alot goin on theme wise in my head,ie Train ride,Ghost Train,Going to Yuma,Wildwest, reformed Outlaw reflecting on and the journeys end etc
I think thats the great thing about BIAB,you can jump in and out of different Genres .I tried the song in different genres and when I heard the banjo thats what convinced me.
Viva BIAB!
