I run the program from an SSD drive (not my boot drive, but that doesn't matter). I keep the RealTracks and RealDrums on a fast regular hard drive. I think this is the best solution for me, as the audiophile RealTracks are enormous - 1.5 TB - but I really like loading the program from an SSD. As Noel said, I don't think it makes that much difference where the RealTracks are, but I do like the almost instant response from the program loading that I get with having it on an SSD. Most people probably don't have an SSD as their boot drive that is large enough to hold the audiophile version anyway.
