In RB there is an Options - Resolution setting.
Simply put, setting this to as high as your computer can comfortably handle allows more accurate edits.

The four images below are audio, but technically it also allows more accurate MIDI edits.

These first 2 images below show my allowed starting point for my selection using the default 120 resolution setting; I can't grab the start point of the audio exactly where I want to (the arrow shows the desired start point).
The second 2 images show the accuracy of changing from a resolution of 120 to a resolution of 3840.
The last (4th) image is zoomed in to show that it even makes a difference on how much you can zoom in on a track to edit it when you increase the resolution. At 120 you can't zoom in this close at all.

Thought I'd share in case it helps others.
