I think I may have seen some bass real tracks that do what you are asking, but I couldn't find them if I looked. Maybe other know or know how to narrow the search.

You might look into the "chord settings" and select pedal bass (lower left) and make your selection for the number of bars that chord is playing. With this method you'd have to repeat the process at every chord change, but not (necessarily) every bar.

You might also have some luck with "slash" chords. There is a setting that will force only the bass to play the slash note.
